I've always connected with Kal as I'm sure most do. I've struggled with nihilism off and on through adult life, and so I've been interested in Kaladin's evolution particularly.

I just hit the end of Rythm of War (spoiler)

where Kal is given the vision of Tien, and am so grateful for Brandon's character development and insights into this. The way Tien helps Kaladin with his counter point was a very helpful way of countering meaninglessness. "Since we all go to the same place in the end, the moments we spend with each other are the only things that DO matter!"  Thanks Brandon!

I don't know about Odium, but I'd love to see the Heralds fight the Venerate from the Licanius Trilogy by James Islington. I'd buy that pay-per-view fight night.

Welcome to the Shard! So happy to have you come join us :D It's truly wonderful that you have been able to connect so much with the story and with Kaladin's struggles. That is one of the amazing things about stories, through the magic of their characters they can discuss real life issues in a way that is easier to sit with.

Kaladin in particular has had one heck of a life! I'm liking your name as well and delighted Kaladin has helped you get there. May you enjoy the Shard to the fullest and let us know if you have any questions!
