Nine brands of fused, a whole pantheon of lesser voidspren, voidspren emissaries, thunderclasts, the everstorm and the nine unmade. The questions I have is where they all came from and why they were made. The fused seem obvious at first. Cognitive shadows made from Odium's investiture. Seems simple. We still have way more questions then that though. According to Raboniel no fused were created after the few group seven thousand years ago. None. Why on roshar is that? Also there are nine brands. How do you decide which one you want to join? Did they start with different tribes of singers? Professions? Did you volunteer? Was it based on your personality? Did Odium test them somehow? Voidspren and their more intelligent cousins are splinters. Odium can make them by braking off bits of his power. They don't seem to be directly bound by the oathpact especially with Taln being the only herald holding it. Because of this many have managed to get around roshar even between desolations. However I think we have good evidence that they are all native to braize. It seems some amount of voidlight might be required to bond one as the radiants thought depriving the singers of this would make the bonding process impossible. None of the sapiant splinters seem to bond at all. This is possibly because Odium does not want his servants evolving or learning. Thunderclasts are awesome. They are intelligent, deadly, and seem bound by the oathpact. We have no reports of them during the false desolation(correct me if I am wrong please). They may, according to Venli, outrank fused although interestingly they have many of the same characteristics(I am thinking of their immortality and the fact that they take bodies). From this I speculate they were once living beings just like the fused. We now know that the chasmfiends are sentient if not sapient. We also know that they seem to care about the singers and have a bond to roshar itself. What if during the first desolation it was not just just the fused who joined team Odium? What if some of the chasmfiends themselves became CS as well? This would explain their forms, the way they make bodies, them being bound by the oathpact and their odd place in the fused hierarchy. @Lil Grizzles did a much more comprehensive break down here. The Everstorm is super super weird. Apparently it has been brewing for centuries in shadesmar. I do not know how on earth it started. The only things I can think of is that maybe Roshar had a nasty reaction to BAM's imprisonment and Odium is taking advantage of the sympathy pang or maybe storms are all the rage now and all three shards are going to have them by the back five. Finally the unmade. This has been theorized before but I do think that Odium took advantage of existing phenomena when he made them.
