Social integration of the Knights Radiant

I am wondering to which extent the Knights Radiant can be part of an organization or civil society.

They are bound to their oaths and specifically to their interpretation of their oath. So suppose you are a Windrunner and you consider a condemned prisoner innocent. What now? You must protect those who cannot protect themselves. Is that a court of law used proper procedures a reason to not follow through your own judgement? If you are a Skybreaker, of course, it would be. But that is exactly what you are not.

Are there more conflicts of this sort? Or am I imagining things?

I think that if a Windrunner thought a condemned person was innocent, they would talk to the head administrator and discuss the issue. After discussion and debate, one side would convince the other. If the Windrunner wasn’t convinced, they could always use their social station to pardon the convict.
