Ooh, can I join?

Could I be that person who goes around imitating nobles and other people and other related tasks?

So, an inflirator? We don't have any yet, so you got the job. Editing the OP again...

I knew there was a word for it...

Great. So everyone has the voting right for what book we should do. So far, we have: +1 any Sanderson book, +2 Emperor's Soul, +1 Mistborn.

Ill vote for Mistborn I guess. I haven’t read The Emperor's soul yet, so I’ll get on it.

You haven't? It's really good. :)

What the order again? Elantris then what then what? Sorry, I just recently read Elantris a few months ago.

There isn't really an order. The only thing that matters is that you read The Hope of Elantris after Elantris. The Emperor's Soul has nothing to do with Elantris. Both are fantastic, though.

Ahhhhh. Got it. Thanks. :)

Yep. They do both take place on Sel though. That's where the connection ends.

So we have Mistborn and Emperor's Soul in a tie. Anyone else wants to vote? You know you can vote for books I haven't nominated, right?

BTW, unless you're against it, bearer, you could read ES for the first time with whatever will happen here. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but we don't really know what it'll look like. Though ES is great, and I recomend it wholeheartedly, and probably it'd be better without weird discussions.

I reread tFE just a few weeks ago, so I'm gonna go with that.

Alas, my rep title has changed. Doesn't really matter, I'll stay a crew leader, but I am sorry about that. On the bright side, maybe I could help with infiltration now that I am Noble, so it's quiet fine. I blame myself on that, I should have known that I shouldn't post mildly funny things on any meme topic.

Edit: um... people, we haven't done anything yet about the appearance of the SEFBM in tFE! @Ookla the Counselor, we are waiting for your report. Plus, we need to do something about the upvotes I keep getting! They are starting to arrive critical levels! (Which is to say, above two in a day.)

Sir! I am using my 399th post to attend to your dire need for a salesman in your crew.

What? You don't think you need a salesman?

Allow me a mere few moments on your doorstep here to convince you.

EDIT: I'm going to use my 400th post on something before I reply

Look, I'm not into rejecting people, really. And I don't reject you, either. But... I don't think we need salesman. We could use a front, though, and salesmen seem to me as a great front. And money could help, I guess. It's only that... Oh, I probably could never explain it. So, our front, as a salesman?

Well that works. Welcome to the Club! Oh, wait, I’m not the leader. . .

Perfect! I can do that. I'll see how much funding I can provide through my business dealings as well.

Edited the OP. You are now officially part of the Cover division - actually you are it's only member. Now, we have the problem of no information about the SEFBM activity in tFE - our informant didn't return yet, I hope he's fine. I mean, unless he tried using Investiture in some loud way the steel inquisition shouldn't take any notice of him.

@Ookla the Counselor, are you all right? Over.

Alright, I'm back. I had a dicey encounter with a few obligators, But I got some info.

Lord Tresting? He's part of the Mafia. I'm pretty sure he's in deep cover. One will notice in the first few pages of tFE that Tresting makes some observations that would likely seem natural to most Scadrians of the final empire.

"Ash fell from the sky...Tresting had hoped to avoid getting soott stains... parasol would likely be effective"

Now one will notice that he thinks of himself as Tresting. This may be a SEFBM tactic. If you use your real name as a code name, it will be natural to you. Those you encounter who figure you out will assume you much better than you are, as well as assuming that's not your real name.

He also notes the ineffectiveness of the Skaa after thousands of years of slavery. This is where his cover slips. Yes, a lord might have said and thought that, but if he was known to be a SEFBM member, this becomes a different statement, asserting himself as a character who is used to cooperative, effective slaves, which may give us a hint as to where exactly the SEFBM may have originated.

After speaking to the obligator, he offers that he stay for dinner, which the obligator refuses. This, I believe, may be an attempt on Tresting's part to kill the obligator, and use some SEFBM technique, or perhaps a native Kandra, to impersonate him and replace a servant of Straff Venture with one of his own.

This is what I picked up a little bit after my lengthy commute to Scadrial. There's more to come.

Well, @Ookla the Counselor, it is a valuable information. We now know that Lord Venture, with all his issues, is probably not a member of the SEFBM. We don't know where Treating is right now, but I'm sure he used some SEFBM techniques to survive the Survivor's attack. We need to make sure the Survivor himself is not a member, but we can't be sure. Maybe the attack was actually only to let Treating get into hiding.

Alert! We're already under suspicion by the Steel Ministry: IRS Division! I have made an error in our taxes and they saw fit to investigate.

I have fixed the error in hopes of deflecting their attention. Thankfully I think they have no further suspicion than the "tax evasion" they keep talking about *laughs nervously*.
