YmYm Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 First Cultivation replaces boring, dry old Tanavast with Dalinar. Then she replaces broken Rayse with Taravangian. Next she’ll replace herself with Lift. And then they can all work together to replace all the crusty old vessels throughout the Cosmere (look what happened to Ati!) Maybe she thinks the Shards need a new vessel from time to time to keep things fresh and functioning because as Todium says, the Cosmere is being run by a bunch of fools. She and Todium might be in agreement for what comes next. Because what better to cultivate than the Shards themselves! (Apologies if this is obvious and posted elsewhere. I just thought of it.) 9
Raven Wilder Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 That was exactly my thought. After all, Cultivation's personality should be largely consumed by her Intent at this point; whatever her plans are, it's gotta have something to do with cultivating. 1
Alatar he/him Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Very good point. It also seems that new Vessels are much more dynamic and independent of their Shard's Intent, see what happened with Scadrial! So, do you think we'll see Dalinar going out and Uniting Ambition, Devotion and Dominion so that someone takes them?

trav Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 it was always my idea that SA is not Honor vs Odium, but Cultivation vs Odium. she is the one who set all the plans into motion and outwitted Odium. so far she has shown the best foresight in my opinion. maybe even so far as to replace Vessels. only for the Rosharan system though.

I think thats part of her plan to. the situation right now gives Dalinar access to more power I would say, without the intent interfering. "His remnants, your soul, my will."

I didn't say that, I meant going out of Roshar (maybe even as a servant of Odium) and UNITE THEM. You see, I think Cultivation is the best when seeing the different futures and has a lot of plans in place. It'd be just as twisted as Brandon does it to have Dalinar become Odium's pawn only to do the thing Odium doesn't want, with a little help of a friend. Also, as @trav said, he seems to have full power and no intent interfering, and that situation is interesting.
