Hi. So strange thing, I bought The Way of Kings (paperback, ebook, audible) years ago, And for some reason I just could not get past the prologue. I moved over and read the King killer Chronicles, The Realm of the Elderlings, All of the Wheel of Time... And a few other series thrown in just for fun. Then I picked up MISTBORN. I was hooked. doing steady research on the books I'm reading like I always do I realized I had to go back and try again. I am so glad I did.

Welcome to the shard! I think I get that it took you so long to get into cosmere. While a lot of people start reading cosmere with SA but I found starting with elantris and mistborn easier. 
I had SA for a long time even after finishing mistborn. Twok at first has a very steep learning curve.

Same with me as well. I read mistborn then went to finish wheel of time first. I liked realm of elderlings as well. It is a very different writing style to cosmere.

Best fitted to be a beaver...hmmmmm.  I'm going to go with pattern on this one. I think he'd find that challenge to be a delicious lie.

 Right now, all things cosmere related are my obsession. But the Fools Fate, by Robin Hobb, moved me like no other work ever has. The relationship between Fitz and the Fool is unsurpassed.

Super interesting that WoK wasn't quite grabbing you to start! So glad you were able to get hooked on Mistborn though and go back through. That is part of the awesomeness of the Comsere though is that you can start in a whole ton of different places 

We are so happy you exist and have come to join us! And I quite agree Pattern would enjoy that!
