I have always presumed that Hoid was once a stoneward at some point in his long life since he once swore an oath akin to the stoneward ideals. 

But now he is no longer a stoneward so......Sucks to be him.

Honestly, what would this world do without Stonewards? We are the greatest. And the best. Except for maybe the Radiants. They are pretty cool. Wait. . .
