Hi everyone, nice to join you on the forums! I'd heard Brandon was a good writer, but never got around to his books until someone introduced me to the WoT. I was amazed at how well he did with the last three books. Also, I not-so-secretly love listening to the narrators of the audiobooks, so it wasn't a big leap to start The Final Empire. Naturally, I was hooked! I consumed every book in the Cosmere as I grew rather fascinated with it. I've since read them all more times than I probably should have. I have also become a faithful listener (no SA pun intended) to Shardcast. This seems like a really great fandom, and I look forwarded to meeting you around the forums.

Who's your favorite Sanderson character?

How do you choose just one? I am, like most, obsessed with anything I can learn about Hoid. As far as characters that we really get to see more "on-screen", I really like Vashar, Jasnah, Dalinar, and Navani. I kind of feel bad mentioning that many Kholins without at least saying that I really like Adolin and Renarin too. I know this may be a controversial opinion for some, but I really enjoy the commedic relief characters too, e.g., Lopen, Lightsong, and Wayne.

I'm with you. No way to choose just 1. So many awesome characters who are all awesome in different ways. Like Vin and Dalinar are both terrific characters, but you can't really compare the two.

Whoever introduced you to Sanderson is a keeper, should probably even get a medal if I'ma be honest  And loving the narrators is quite a popular trait here that is perfect! Consuming every book and rereading more times than you can count is pretty popular too  Although idk if you can ever read them enough!

Probably SA. I think that is mostly a matter of scale. I really liked Warbreaker, but it's so small compared to even one book in the SA that it's hard to say I like this small awesome book more than these really huge awesome books that all go together. I suppose that's why most of us love the Cosmere generally- it certainly is a big part of it for me. I love the mysteries and magics. I love that they are all interconnected.

I have! I really liked Skyward (and Starsight). I've read all the Reckoners. I've read Perfect State, The Rithmatist, and Defending Elysium.  I haven't made it around to Librarians.

A potential crossover of the Cytoverse and Cosmere Era 4 could be fun. FTL comms.-enabled battles are fun to imagine. What crossover would you choose?

Ooh I would have to agree with you on the Stormlight fave!  Literally the same reasons too. The way it's massive and yes fits together so well is just perfect! Like every single part of it feels so real and fluid and yet it's literally covering this gargantuan story in all different places with tons of characters. It truly is masterfully done!

And yeah the way everything is interconnected is the cherry on top. Not only do you have this massive book but it's part of a massive books series that's also part of a massive story universe. Like dang!  So agree with you here!

Absolutely that's what we're here for!  It's more intuitive to put it in multiple so you just don't really think about it until someone lets you know  Totally fine and glad you got it, it can be a little confusing that first time but after it makes sense!
