Just... Snapped? Perhaps he would get it eventually. Young stood up and got his bearing before pointing to the middle of the shattered plains. "We need to go that way."

She gets to fly, split the light around her, control the ground, and I get to... know things? How do I even get this to work? What was it Alena had said? It just... snapped, I guess. His power works differently, so maybe it wouldn't just come to him. What had he been doing exactly? 

With renewed determination, Young went back to where he was sitting. Again, he asked himself.

Why had the ground shattered like that? What had happened here?

And again, the knowledge renewed itself to him. After a brief moment of pure knowledge, he returned to the questions. What was he doing? Young was sitting down, and he had asked himself about the planes. He was sitting down... he was touching the plains. did that have something to do with it? Young stood up and walked back out of the shelter, and poked Alena on the shoulder as if to get her attention. Meanwhile, he asked himself. What powers does she have?

And his eyes went wide.

Should I keep this? The thought process was that earlier someone mentioned an uninvested scholar, and I thought, what about an invested person who can find out about the other magic systems, but doesn't know they are invested? I'm not sure if we want everyone to figure their own stuff out or if I should come in.

When Young came out of his stupor, he was sure that it was the surge of Illumination causing the prism effect, but their little test proved him wrong. There was a lot going on here. At least he understood some things. Like how the manipulation of the ground was tension, and how the floating was gravitation. Alena hadn't even gotten into the more volatile of her abilities. what was this Cognitive Realm that transportation and transformation talked about? Young couldn't figure out more until he was touching it. The question now was how to go about explaining people's abilities to them, if he really could learn them at a touch.
