"Wait, weren't we going somewhere?" Kimora calls after him. "I promise I won't stab you!" The knife disappears as Kimora seemingly sheaths it. It is still impossible to tell if the knife was real or not.

Borodin nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense." He looked around as they entered a new part of town. "Wow, I've never been over here before." At his right, there were several barrels that he assumed had once been filled with goods that had been knocked over with their contents scattered abroad. At his left, he noticed a yellow-eyed cat with grey fur dip into an dark alleyway. It was pursued by another cat, this one with dark blue blotches all over its fur. Borodin almost tripped over an apple as he moved to avoid all of the scattered waste. "Wow, this place is a pigsty." He wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"Yes well, I happened to have meeting in this direction, so that's why I'm here. I suppose that I should have told you that I had a destination in mind. I wouldn't worry too much my friend, Catorphia is more than able to deal with whatever crosses our path here. If you want to head back then there would be no harm, I'm enjoying our little conversation. After all, when everything seems to be spinning and shaking around you, it's best to find a way to level yourself, wouldn't you agree?"

"I'm just meeting a friend, he's coming from a little ways away out of town. We like to meet regularly even though I travel a lot, so I let him know when and where I'll be somewhere."

He created a slightly less chaotic street that still had some trash on it to not attract suspicion and placed it about half an inch above the original street. Behind him, someone tripped. Oops, Borodin thought. He changed the way light interacted between the point of separation of the original road and the fabrication so that if anyone looked directly at it, they would only see a faint and blurry purple line. He tried to make it so it was as unnoticeable as possible. This was good practice for him. He hadn't used his powers too much lately.

Kuno paid no notice to Borodin's illusions, but Catorphia was quite perceptive about them, she began to eye Borodin quite suspiciously.

"His name is Arminio, and he's from the mountains in the south. I met him quite some time ago while I was traveling, and he promised me that if I told him where I'd be at a certain time, he'd come to visit me whenever possible. I must say though, he is not really fond of meeting strangers, and I'm fairly certain that would be the reason that he only travels at all to see me."
