"Okay." Harmony nodded, considering that.

"The moral is that it isn't so clearly black-and-white. The moral is that maybe, just maybe, you chose the wrong path." He looked to the horizon, which the sun was dipping behind. "And no matter how right something seems... it can be wrong."

"So you have to second-guess yourself? That's not the kind of life anyone wants to live."

"Just follow your path." Leonas replied. "But when you reach a crossroads, remember that there's an option to turn around and go back."

"Good advice."

Leonas nodded.

"The sunset is quite beautiful tonight."

"It is. Oh, and I know the perfect thing!" Harmony pulled a blanket out of her bag. Perfect to stargaze!

"Ah. That makes more sense."

Harmony spread it out and sat down one it instead. The stars were beginning to shore and she looked up at them.

Leonas hesitated, but eventually sat down beside her.

"I'm having a hard time deciding what to look at, it's all so beautiful."

Leonas knew what he was looking at. It wasn't a star. But it was just as beautiful.

"I liked the story, by the way." Harmony said quietly after a moment.

"My mother used to tell it to me. She'd tell me one story one night, and the other the next."

"No wonder you know it so well. I'm glad you chose to share it with me, too."

"Before she... moved on... she told me share it to the people I loved, like she did."

Harmony paused. That couldn't mean what she thought it meant... right? It was more like a brother-sister kind of thing, or maybe friend to friend.

"I'm glad I met you too. And despite my complaining, I'm glad you're willing to take care of me even when I'm stubborn."

"If you... don't mind my asking, what was your family like?"

"Oh, nothing special. My father was a farmer. He worked hard in the fields and was always so tired by his work that he never really got to be with us. My mom was devastated when he died. Somehow, she still loved him. When she left, I couldn't stand being alone with my older brother always doing the hard work my father and he had. He was wearing himself out just trying. So I left too. Decided to find another way to live, and hoped my brother would be smart enough to find something else as well."

"I never knew my father. He left before I was born. My mom would tell me that he was a great person, even going so far to say that he had been killed rather than just having left. She never remarried or adopted any other kids, so I was her only son. She told me the truth before I went to do the Trials of Fyre, and..." Leonas took a shaky breath. "I was a mess."
