What's Uglies and Pretties?
(Skip me)

Everyone gets a surgery at 16 that makes them pretty, but MC’s friend runs away and she’s forced to bring her back before getting her surgery

Can’t tell you about Pretties because it gives away the ending of Uglies

Oh this is hype
A: An ethnic religion is Buddhism.

B: Hinduism is primarily practiced in India. As an ethnic religion, it has stayed near its hearth of the Indus River Valley as opposed to universalizing religions which diffuse on a global scale.

C; Islam is a universalizing religion and has diffused around the world through both hierarchical and expansion diffusion. Merchants selling goods would inform their customers that Islam allowed them ot be so prosperous. This is an example of hierarchical diffusion as the merchants in higher societal roles spread the word to regular, less influential citizens. Islam additionally spread via expansion diffusion as the founder Muhammad waged holy wars on the neighboring lands, conquering them and bringing Islam to new nations. On the other hand, Buddhism has remained at its hearth as an ethnic religion. Although it has practitioners across the globe, they are few enough for Buddhism to still be classified as an ethnic religion as opposed to Islam, a globally dominant universalizing religion.

D; Islam is a universalizing religion and has diffused around the world through both hierarchical and expansion diffusion.  *sigh* So close, yet so far.

A. I regret to inform you that Buddhism is a universalizing religion and not an ethnic one.

B. Yep. Clear and concise.

C. Once again with the Buddhism mistake, other than that, you did a good job explaining the diffusion of both rather than the distribution (should've said spatial distribution, sorry)

D. You explained about how it occurred through two different types of diffusion, that was good.

Sorry if thats a little mean, but I'm grading this as I would an actual FRQ

Ah, gotcha. No worries about being mean, it’s not, and I need to prepare!

So something like

A: An ethnic religion is Hinduism.

B: Hinduism is primarily practiced in India. As an ethnic religion, it has stayed near its hearth of the Indus River Valley as opposed to universalizing religions which diffuse on a global scale.

C; Both Islam and Buddhism are universalizing religions and are practiced all across the world rather than solely staying in their hearths. Although both religions are found globally, Islam is particularly prevalent in Northern Africa as well as the Middle East, while Buddhism is especially common Southeastern Asia.

D; Islam is a universalizing religion and has diffused around the world through both hierarchical and expansion diffusion.
