Eh, @revelryintheart do you use food as bait or fake bait.

Fish can't feel pain in the area where they're hooked. But, I still find it a bit cruel if you don't give them a free meal.

Food, like worms or crawfish. Fake bait doesn't work as well in my opinion.

This was actually my exact question, fish taste horrible. I usually use bits of hotdog as bait. Can I join, too?

Also, if I do get in, should I change my routine "hello, friends!" to "hello, fish!"?

As far as I know, fish can't. The wikipedia article too has nothing about their pattern matching abilities. We can only hope that our dear friend can understand patterns.

We also both have October birthdays, and love Avatar: the Last Airbender, Hamilton, Les Miserables, and Legend of Zelda (for the Zelda one, I don't have a sufficient means by which to play it often, so that's less so... Breath of the Wild is my favorite btw)
