Retention of the form and the spren when a Fused takes over

It seems that a Fused stays in the form their host had assumed. So the spren seems to stay in the gem heart.

That raises a question. What happens if a Fused takes over a Regal? Do the abilities combine?

The Fused cant keep a Spren in their Gemheart.

Probably not. Fused are Cognitive Shadows technicy, so they are similar to Spren on terms of Realmatics.

Do the Fused still require a bond with a spren for maintaining a form/full sapience, or does the Investiture that makes them Cognitive Shadows fulfill that requirement?

They do not require a bond with a spren, so yes, the Investiture handles all of that.

I imagine that as cognitive shadows, they behave similar to Returned now, and dont really have one set form but are more fluid now, which is how they can grow carapace into many different shapes
