Gderu
The major spoiler in this book was, of course, that Ishar is a traitor to the other heralds. What I don't understand is why they didn't just remove that part. It was in the last two pages, you could have shown the heralds talking about Taln and ended it on that, why not just remove it? I don't get it. Anyone have any idea? Edited July 12, 2020 by Gderu
Chiberty
That might be it. I'm not sure. This WoB makes it sound like it has something do do with Jasnah and Taln. Quote Phantine By the way, the chapters from Way of Kings Prime were pretty interesting when I read them in the [Altered Perceptions] anthology. I assume the rest of the book at the moment is still pretty spoilery... about where in The Stormlight Archive series would you consider it 'caught up' enough to do something with the rest of WoK'? Brandon Sanderson Unfortunately, one of the ways I made the series work was by splitting the character into two groupings, and doing half in the first five and half in the second. This means that WoK Prime doesn't spoil anything for Dalinar/Kaladin/Shallan. But it has huge spoilers for books six and seven, with Jasnah and Taln. So it will be a while. General Reddit 2015 (Nov. 16, 2015) Far too late to the party to be anywhere near relevant but figured I'd chime in anyway while I was here. Quite an interesting blurb tbh. While the download page and introduction do make it quite clear this is a separate novel that is in no way tied to SA I did feel as I was reading it that it had the essence of what I expect would be the result of taking all the eventual SA novels and smushing them into one book while changing up the plot a bit. It had the whole I am a Herald, why don't you believe me, I have to make you believe me, we must prepare, something bad is coming, look at how amazing I am with a sword, let me train you and lead you sorta vibe that I'm thinking SA will eventually get to but just isn't at yet. This feeling of almost being a condensed but slightly different version of the eventual SA series made it quite interesting to read and think about how it could be applied and improved upon for the future novels.
