Vengeance Pact / Vengeance War

What is the Vengeance Pact? I was under the impression that the Vengeance Pact was the pact made by the Highprinces and the King to get revenge on the Parshendi for the assassination of Gavilar Kholin, and the consequent war was called the the Vengeance War. However I have heard the war itself referred to as the Vengeance Pact. Could someone please enlighten me?

I don't remember the term "Vengeance War", but admittedly I've only read WoK once, so I may have missed it. I figured the ensuing war was a part of the pact, so there wasn't a reason to give the war its own name.

I did a word search in WoK and couldn't find any instances of "Vengeance War".

I think that I must have encountered it on a website because I can't find it either.

But regardless I don't think it makes sense for the war to be called the "Vengeance Pact".

Brightness Hashal (the lighteyes whose husband commands the bridgemen after lamaril's death) calls it the War of Reckoning. don't know if that is an official name, or just informal nomenclature that's used around the camps.
