Hello, 

My name is Mathis and while I am new to this forum, I have been reading Sanderson novels since my mom introduced them to me when I was 15 or 16. I met Vin when I needed her and became a fan of his books. I have since read Elantris and Warbreaker, as well as the Wax & Wayne books. I didn’t realize there was a bigger universe at play until I read Mistborn: Secret History. If there’s one thing I love, it’s expansive fictional universes. I immediately picked up The Way of Kings, and I have just finished my second read through of all three SLA books. I am very excited for book 4!

Everything! There’s not one particular thing I’m looking forward to, but book 3 left me with so many questions and theories! Not to mention these books tend to take turns I don’t see coming or go in directions I never would have thought of. I just can’t wait to see the journey in store.

I was the same age as Vin when I read The Final Empire and the story of her growing from a scared girl into a powerful woman really spoke to me. Her devotion to the people she cares about is also very relatable. She’s a wonderful character, her flaws and vulnerabilities are part of what make her so strong. Plus I am also short and always ready to stab when necessary!
