Parshendi numbers question

Recommended Posts

Is there a WoB out there that says how many Parshendi there are outside the alethi warcamps/shattered Plains? I think eshoni says she had 20k stormform warriors and like 1000 refused to change. Now I think we can assume most of the stormforms died in the battle and the everstorm/highstorm and the others maybe survived but other than those couple thousand that survived on the plains how many Parshendi are out there in other parts of Roshar?

It says at the end of WoR that with the coming of the everstorm, all the remaining Parshendi will turn into voidbringers but how effective can the voidbringers be if their numbers are only in the tens of thousands? I think a couple dozen knight radiants could take out that many not to mention the normal armys. So is the coming desolation really gunna be that bad? Maybe they were more prepared then they think by killing off all the Parshendi before it even started

1) i got the impression the listeners were 100k total, of which one fifth warform. i can''t produce a quote, however.

2) those listeners who escaped likely won't change to stormform. they have enough free will to refuse the spren. On the other hand, there is a kind of listener who has no free will and as such cannot resist the transformation: the parshmen, which are employed as slaves everywhere in the world. so, when the storm hit, every single parshendi slave will become a voidbringer. Yes, it's gonna be bad.

It's all Parshmen will turn into Voidbringers:

"And it will transform the parshmen. Is there no way to stop it?"

No.

Dalinar closed his eyes. It was as he had feared. His army had defeated the Parshendi, yes, but they were only a fraction of what was coming. Soon he would face hundreds of thousands of them.

The Stormfather uses the term "the old people". I don't think we know for sure if this is only the Parshmen (and any remaining Parshendi) or there's other types too. We know there's other types of Voidbringers but we don't know if they're similar.
