Hello. I'm Elric. I'm a multidimensional being that reads to starve off the inevitable boredom of existing in the universe. 

Existential joking aside, I'm currently reading my first Brandon Sanderson book, The Way of Kings. I'm only on page 100. I'm impressed by the amount of praise Sanderson receives for his writing. So I thought I'd give it a try. I don't have many strong opinions right now, but I am excited that I stumbled upon this community. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute right now to the Cosmere discussion (so you'll probably notice me either lurking or contributing in the general discussion section). So, uh, basically, I'm really overwhelmed. But I'll get over it soon enough. 

As for other authors I enjoy, I really like Octavia Butler and Michael Moorock. I recently read The Name of the Wind, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I have a good feeling about Sanderson, though.
