Lemonelon Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Lady Elenbora sat in quiet contemplation. She was given her orders earlier, to send the allomancers out, but she couldn’t. She didn’t want to have blood on her hands. She too wanted peace.
Elandera she/her Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Ash fell with a drifting grace as Dera watched from the comfortable - and clean - confines of her rooms. It swirled with the mist and gave her an idea for a new fabric. Something dark with an almost imperceptible pattern to catch and dance in the light. She began to sketch the idea in the form of a dress. Hopefully, she'd have it ready in time for the next ball. She hadn't heard when the next was supposed to take place. Many houses seemed to have little time for such planning. Ah, well. Supposed I am good a candidate as any. Dera called for one of her servants after she finished the drawing, then sent him off again with a list of instructions to begin preparations and send invitations. She'd also sent him to the head of her fabric factory with the sketch. The dress should be ready in time, if they worked the skaa a few extra hours. --- You are formally invited to attend a ball at Keep Venture in tomorrow night, hosted by Lady Dera Renault. 2

How interesting. This would change the political stage drastically in Luthadel. Dera didn't know Elenbora well, but was interested to see what the new power would mean for Elariel's overall influence. In just a few minutes, Dera was passing a sealed letter to a skaa servant, to be delivered back to her informant with instructions to spy on the new house leader. "Oh, and ready my carriage. I need to see my tailor." The fabric she'd ordered was nearly ready. --- Congrats Lemon! And Stick, too, I believe (if I'm remembering the rules correctly). 2

Dera stood at the end of the long main hall, near the main dining table, looking at the arriving crowd. Her dress - a deep grey silk with swirling silver embroidery and a translucent silvery overlay - reflected the light, appearing as mist itself. It had a grand effect, accentuated by the decor of the evening. "Welcome all to Keep Venture," Dera said after a servant called the attention of the crowd. "Come, dine and dance. Enjoy your evening, and the hospitality of House Venture." 3
