Something broke inside of Star, sparking a reserve of power. She kicked Xino in the back of the knee, making him fall over, and stepped on his gun hand. "I told you to put it down," she growled.

BoS just sat down and watched.

Something passed from Xino's eyes as he collapsed to the ground. He put his hand up to his head, looking confused and slightly lost. "What...?"

All at once, he became aware of the gun in his hand. He yelped and dropped it as if it were red hot.

Star swallowed as she calmed herself. She put a hand on Xino's shoulder. "We have to go," she said.

"Yeah..." said Xino distantly. "Yeah."

He looked down and nudged the gun with his foot towards Star.

"You... you should take this. I don't think I can anymore."

Star looked at the gun and picked it up, a little hesitantly. She breathed out. "Where to?"

Xino looked thoughtful. "Can you detect where Silence is?"

Star concentrated for a moment. She shook her head. "No. But that might just be because of his nature."

“I was talking about you. How many times have you said we need to go?” BoS shook her head. 

[Zephrun’s Imperium they/he]

"Shadow, I'm not the one who's just been standing there the entire time."

“It’s better than kicking your friend.”

"Who was about to kill somebody? I won't just let something like that happen. But we don't need to point fingers, it won't get us anywhere."

BoS grumbled. “How do we get out of here?”

[Zephrun’s Imperium they/he]

"I don't know. But Xino was the one who got us here, he can probably get us out. Right, Xino?"

Star turned toward the mime she had saved. "Will you help us?" she asked him.

“Mr. Silence might expel him if he does that,”

Michael looked up at Star, speechless.

"Are... are you Star?" he finally managed to get out. "Narrator Star?"

Star nodded. "Yes." She smiled. "You've heard of me?"

"Yeah..." said Michael. "Did you really meet your Avatar?"

"TVG? Yes. She has been good to me."

"Do you...  remember? Your Ascension?"

Star was confused. "What do you mean? Ascension to what?"

"To Narratorhood."
