In Arcanum Unbounded it says that the Rosharan year is longer than normal, same with the Rosharan foot. Exactly how much longer are they, and why?

The Rosharan year is 500 days. 10 months of 50 days with a ten day week. Why? The books explicitly state that the seasons are irregular, but the cycle weeping is every 1000 days or two years. One year there is a highstorm, the next there is a day of sun. So why use that? Because it cleanly divides by ten.

The Weeping is every year, alternating between a highstorm or a day of sun every year in the exact center of the Weeping.

A Rosharan year, number of days/day length and different number of hours per day aside, is 1.1 of our years.

Dalinar is 53 in Way of Kings. Navani is a few months older than him. Sadeas is 3 years younger than him.

Note that these are Rosharan ages. A Rosharan year is 1.1 Earth years.

As to the foot... We know it's longer, but not how much, and considering that Alethi are tall given the numbers they use, they're storming tall!

And Rock is seriously like Andre the giant huge.

Difference in time measurements: https://www.17thshard.com/forum/blogs/entry/633-rosharan-time-measurements/

Haven't been able to dig into this yet but... Some recent info about the size of Urithiru suggests that 100 Rosharan yards is about 380 (Earth) feet. If there's 300 Rosharan feet per Rosharan yard that means their feet are about 27% larger than ours. There's uncertainty, speculation, and a bit of error in that however.

I'm rather skeptical of those figures. That'd put an average six (Rosharan) foot Alethi man at 230 centimeters tall (7'6 earth feet). That's a bit hard to swallow given the number of non-shape shifting world hoppers on Roshar who don't immediately stand out by being 1-2 feet shorter than everybody else on the planet.

Not saying his calculations are necessarily right, but world hoppers tend to be assumed to be either Shin, or have Shin ancestry to explain away their eyes and height.

And it says that Shin are often mistaken for children, which suggests that they are at least a half foot shorter than the average. It also could mean that Rosharians have the epicanthic fold (eye fold) of most Asians. I've always wondered if that was true.

It has been confirmed that most Rosharans do have the epicanthic fold. Shin are the outliers in that. I believe there is a WoB that say Shin eyes are slightly even wider than on people on Earth that do not have epicanthic folds.

That's a good point.

Those numbers were based on a comment from Ben McSweeney that the stories of Urithiru are 15 feet along with a line from Dalinar that the roof is 100 [Rosharan] yards across. So I'm taking the height of the tower on the drawing we got in pixels to get a scale that you can then use on the roof. But the size of the roof is a bit tricky to measure, the drawing might not be perfect, and Dalinar's phrase is probably not meant to be taken as precise. If the roof is 90 yards across and everything else is perfect you get 6 Rosharan feet = 6'-9" which is more reasonable. Point being... Yeah, take that speculation as a grain of salt. :D

It's called out in the text that the Shin tend to be short (at least by Alethi standards), so I imagine it's a combination. They're shorter than Alethi by a noticeable amount certainly. And while I can imagine their eyes might be a "bit" wider than real world Caucasians for example, I never got the impression they were so wide as to make them look like bug eyed aliens. It's just that near everyone on Roshar happens to have eye folds, making the shins slightly wider then Caucasian eyes striking by comparison.
