Shae easily would have, if Dan hadn't been hugging him. His lips parted slightly, his body searching for enough oxygen to keep his mind functioning properly- though he was able to breath enough to stay conscious through his nose, he was having trouble thinking of anything, or wanting to think of anything, other than the man who was kissing him.

Dan kept kissing Shae for a moment, then stopped and set his head on one of Shae’s shoulders, embarrassed. “Sorry,” Dan said, “I’m a bit passionate sometimes. Are you okay?”

He panted, trying to catch his breath and get his head functioning again. He leaned against Dan, blushing deeply. "N-no, I... its fine... I'm fine..." He sounded dazed, and he looked vaguely happy, just really dazed. That had been the most intense kiss yet...

“You look kinda like you got eaten by a whale there,” Dan said, moving his head back up and looking at Shae’s face. “That’s not good... maybe more like you went on a rollercoaster for the first time.”

He nodded, biting his lip and shaking his head. "I-I... I'm fine. That was just... very intense." He blushed, smiling slightly as he looked down.

“Sorry, again. You’re okay, right?” Dan nuzzled Shae’s cheek like a dog worried about its master.

He blushed, chuckling. "Of course I'm fine, I loved it. I was just... a bit overwhelmed. I didn't know that a kiss could make you feel like that." He smiled, hugging Dan's head to try and stop the nuzzling. It was so adorable he thought he might start treating him like a puppy again.

“Kisses can do a lot of weird stuff,” Dan said. He almost tried to give an example, but stopped himself and licked Shae’s face instead.

He blushed, biting his lip and glaring playfully at Dan. "Like what? Make you feel happy?" He felt a bit odd about the licks, but didn't mind too much.

[Sherlock Holmes he/him]

Dan coughed. “Yes, that is generally an effect, though I’ve seen some more interesting results. I once got laid just because I kissed a guy.”

He blushed. "Oh... W-well... I probably won't have... that... just because of a kiss..." He blushed. Maybe that had been what he'd been feeling. He hoped not- he had no idea what to do if it was.

“Yeah, I know,” Dan said. “Here, let me give an example of how weird kisses can feel.” He put his hands on Shae’s shoulders, then moved his head and kissed the side of Shae’s neck with his mouth open.

Shae sucked in a breath, his stomach plunging as he flushed, and trembled. "Co... colors..." He felt weak in the knees, and goodness knows what the sensations rolling through him were. But they were good, and it was Dan, so he forced himself not to push the man away, to let him finish whatever.... this, was.

That was a pretty violent reaction, Dan thought as he felt Shae tremble. He moved his head again and kissed the side of Shae’s face in the same way.

He blushed, relaxing a bit. This still felt weird, but at least it wasn't as weird. He bit his lip, letting Shae do as he pleased, his eyes already closed from habit. He always closed his eyes when they kissed, and Dan kissing him other places than the lips didn't change that.

“That’s what I meant,” Dan mumbled into Shae’s ear, pulling slightly away. Then he moved a little further and said, louder, “Goosebumps, right? Weird things in your chest?”

He nodded, still blushing. "Y-yeah... I won't doubt you again..." He shivered, still feeling weird.

“Oh, you can doubt me,” Dan said. “Just don’t doubt me when I’m talking about intimate things, like kissing. I have experience.”

He blushed. "Y-yeah... got it..." He looked down, thinking. "Um... you... how much do you know?" He looked up at him, biting his lip nervously. He had no knowledge.

“My ma was pretty good at it,” Dan said, “and she demonstrated it a lot on my dad, and other guys. I’ve seen a lot, and practiced some of it. Like that kiss, but that was pretty basic.”

Shae blushed deeply, eyes shaking down to his lap. "Oh... Okay. That's... interesting..." He didn't know how else to describe it. And he had no idea how to control the weird sense of nervousness that was left fluttering in his stomach. He'd been taught that by his mother who had shown him. He didn't know how to feel about that.

“I realize,” Dan said after a moment, “that most families have one mother and father, but I had two fathers and three mothers, so I saw a lot of making out and stuff. Admittedly, my blood parents wouldn’t speak to each other when I last saw them, but they were getting along with some of their other lovers, so it was still good. Even if I had to take care of all my sisters myself.”

He blinked, looking at him, feeling... oddly jealous. "It's alright... I haven't seen my parents since I was nine... at least you grew up with them. I miss mine." He thought about that, the memories that had blurred too much to really remember more than colors. He smiled then. "But hey, if I'm with you, I doubt that I'll be thinking about that very much. You're too distracting." He chuckled.

Not growing up with a big huge sprawling family sounded so... lonely. “I’m sorry,” he said to Shae. “That sounds like it sucks,” Dan said honestly. He hugged Shae for a moment, then realized something and said, “You could see them again if you wanted to, you know.”
