Are there some things that you have ranted and raved that you hate and would never try? Have you eventually tried them and ended up falling in love with it? Discuss.

For me it was e-readers. I eventually tried using one and ended up loving it. I fought against it for so long too. There are so many things I love about it, but my favorite part it controlling the text size. Some publishers, when producing the books (especially with mass market paperbacks), have the text so small one needs a magnifying glass and it still ends up giving you a headache. That is no longer something I need to worry about.

Not to turn into a walking advertisement,  but its the Kindle paperwhite in case anyone is curious.

Ooooh... for me, that would be sushi. I absolutely hated the idea of it, and when everyone talked about how much they loved it, I just decided that it seemed gross. Now, I'm absolutely obsessed with it. :P

Thousand-page-long high fantasy books seemed to me the most boring thing ever and i could not imagine how one would subject oneself to the such a painfully tedious experience.

Yet here i am, in the 17th shard, having read every single cosmere book in 6 months. (Although i have never read a fantasy novel not written by Brandon Sanderson)

This was also my experience with eating raw fish in general. There was a time when I wouldn't touch it. After a year in Hawaii I'll happily chow down on poke bowls purchased from convenience stores.

Milk. Yes, it's stupid. So was I. At some point when I was a little lad, I decided I didn't like milk and didn't want to drink it, and only did very occasionally when it had chocolate syrup mixed in. Then at some point in 3rd grade, I decided to try normal milk again, and realized it wasn't so bad as I had convinced myself it was.

Now I thrive on it these days. I probably drink more milk than anyone else in my family. I love milk.

The way of kings, a friend recommended it to me at a cooking camp, and I was like, Nah! But I tried it and half of what I say is a reference to Sanderson now!

"Now, if you want a good recipe for cremling stew, you're going to want to look out for The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. There are other cookbooks for Horneater cuisine but this is the only one that gives the cultural context that really lends the recipes some authenticity."

The show Terra Nova, gone from us too soon.

R.I.P., our one good depiction of Cretaceous Period South America. -_-

And I'll take Stephen Lang wherever I can get him. He was the best part of both Terra Nova and Avatar.
