Oh!  Sorry mate.  I got confused when you said you had the perfect idea, and then tagged me.  I thought you had a recommendation for the thread.  But yes, Monday is the deadline for the first reading.

I wouldn't recommend reading New Spring before TEOTW. Since, if I remember correctly, it would spoil the first time readers a lot of the revelations about Lan/Moraine/Siuan as it reveals their true intentions before even beginning the series.

Personally I read it after AMOL and loved coming back to those characters. So I would recommend doing that.

You're probably right, it does show a better look into the world of.... possibly spoilers, wait definitely spoilers....read at your own risk!

Spoiler

Aes Sedai and how the students interact with each other and learn how to channel. I remember there is just so much going on with the Forsaken in the main series, that the normalcy in the Aes Sedai training is mostly uprooted.

That too but I meant more like

(Spoiler read at your own risk)

Spoiler

because you know from the beginning of book 1 why Moraine and Lan are in Emonds Field. It spoils a lot of the book one reveals if you already know that.

It also spoils Lan's heritage.

I love it when I have no idea what people are talking about, and just see their comments above the spoilers ;).

Ha.  Same here.  I almost opened them, but then realized, “Whoa, wait there one gosh darn diddly minute!  You’re not in Cosmere Discussion anymore!”

I finished chapter 16 this morning, and after a discussion between me and @Rhapsody I remembered why I stopped my last attempt to read the series. Though I have to admit, right now I'm highly motivated to read them all this time.

Oh, ok. I'm a little bit slow on this reread so I'll have to power read through the rest of the chapters tonight. It's not totally my fault, the tale of Geralt, Milva, Dandelion, Cahir and Cori are just so engrossing!

I also switched back to my other book as soon as I finished chapter 16

It's really exciting right now and I need to know what will happen next...

I'm halfway through and so far definitly. I like the setting and the characters a lot. Good enough to stop practicing with my embroidery machine and spend every free minute reading.

The ember blade. It was recommended here on the shard and I decided to give it a try.

You'll have to give me a p.m. or even tag me in your thoughts of it if you post elsewhere.  You'll be the first person who has read it on my recommendation. Yes, @whattheHoid its worth it. The beginning is a little slow but its a giant homage to the entire epic fantasy genre and yet doesnt come off as old and tired. I'm excited to read the sequel!
