Little did he know that Prism Acute was stalking his every move. She too was clad in a dark cloak, but unlike him, she wore soft leather boots that made no noise when she walked. That had been his first mistake. His second had been the cloak. Pry'd been watching the gate for awhile, ready to follow anyone who looked the slightest bit off. And his third mistake had been the most important - he hadn't glanced behind to check for tails. She kept her distance, but didn't let him out of her sight.

Nighttime was a most suspicious time to travel and Pry was very curious indeed. That could prove to be a poor combination.

Pry rolled her eyes, smile concealed by her hood. Sometimes it was okay to not actually be extremely powerful - pretending she was tended to work just as well.

Toa's plan, to reveal any defense system, had worked perfectly. He watched as the figure turned its back, and then tapped steel and appeared in front of the lifeless, catching their attention.

"Open the gates," he said.

The lifeless just eyed him. Toa sighed, and started walking back towards Alley City.

And for the record, I didn't make that decision BC of your character flexing to herself. Unless my character is actively aware of what other people are doing, I don't make decisions based off of that.

So wait, do you have to aim the Anti-Alleymatic trees? If that's just a blanket effect, it's not going to do good things to the people of your city...

The anti Alleymatic stuff isn't operational currently, but when it is it will aim at large areas, and turn off Alleymatics in those areas. It could be used on the whole city, but it probably won't be.

Dusk pulled out a vial of pewter from the medical cupboard, and gave it to him. The guards tighten their grips on their weapons, worried.

Read the construction guide, and experiments part of the opener. It is from an epic that could manipulate brain functions, but right now it is to weak, and small to do anything, but in a irl week, it will be able to put down blanket affects.

I'm going to update them every sunday, and make sure that the new protections is gradual. Now all I need is someone with double nicrosil, and hemalurgic chromium allomancy, and the citadel can be fully secure...

So you're going to remove the higher level brain functions of everyone in your city? Just to prevent people using Alleymatics?

Highest level. It urns on and off. If someone uses alleymatics to cause chaos, they no longer can use them, in that area. I'm not doing this permanently. Hopefully I never will have to.

I know that he stuck the anti alleymatics trees in there to stop me, but all they do is prevent me from using alleymatics within the city limits  I could still destroy the city using alleymatics in a variety of ways, or the one power, or something else.

Either just standing outside the range of the trees and using it on the city, or dropping something on the city, or using balefire to destroy the city. Or a hundred other things.

I guess that since Alleymatics requires a lot of concentration to work that putting the disruptors on a burst setting would work too, since it would prevent anybody from gathering enough concentration for long enough to use Alleymatics. I'd say that this would also disrupt certain other powers though, mainly the ones that depend heavily on focus to pull of, like Awakening, and perhaps Soulcasting as well. It would also either make Feruchemical zinc hard to use, or zinc would allow you to break out of it, depending on your interpretation.

If the power can basically stop cogitation, then it's worth a lot more than just its power to stop Alleymatics, given how rare they are and (as Mac pointed out) how easily you could use them from a distance.

It will only ever be used to stop people to use Alleyatics to chaos, in city limits.

Dusk invited all the people, all the pie was ready. No cake. This was a test of Alleyverse unity. The GB had said no cake, so no cake. Everyone, except for Hellbent, was invited. It had tables all over, and because of Alleyneuty, Lusk and Walker were there. It was probably the most well protected party in history. Dusk went to the speaker, "Let's get this party STARTED!!!"
