Syleena
Hello, I was looking at maps for my brother who is writing his own fantasy book and was sending him photos from my books. We also was talking about portals and I thought of this map... https://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fvignette.wikia.nocookie.net%2Fstormlightarchive%2Fimages%2F7%2F7a%2FMap_frostlands.jpg%2Frevision%2Flatest%3Fcb%3D20140709024529&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fstormlightarchive.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FFile%3AMap_frostlands.jpg&tbnid=gypGmoxT0x2b_M&vet=1&docid=GIAtYiuVd-1omM&w=1368&h=2048&hl=en-gb now I know these might not be portals but I was wondering what they are!? Curiously, if every possible line that could come of them was drawn then there would be 16 which I think is the significant number for Andolasium (sorry not too sure how to spell). My crazy theory is that Roshar was remade from Yolen after a cataclysmic event (Andolasium shattering). I know I’m probably wrong! What do you think? Jofwu he/him
Those symbols actually pop up all over the place, especially in TWoK and WoR (only one or two in OB). This thread has a bunch of them listed:
Syleena
Oh! Interesting link, thanks. So it could just be a compass or the symbol for the 17th shard? Though there’s several on the map I was looking on!?!

No clue on what the compasses mean, though
