Ark came in the night. An Ent with a blade, he was surrounded by fellow treebrothers. They were here to attack the Liebrary for their crimes. They had turned trees into...

paper!

They needed to die for that. They would be punished in full. The Stickquisition was attacking. This meant war. A torch was thrown, and they charged.

The Stickquisitor grinned as the stickolytes charged at the sacreligous building. It was hard to believe what these heathen were daring to do. After a thousand years fighting the matchendi in the Twigsades, after all they had sacrificed for these people, they come back to find that the church had become a “pacifist” organization. They were allowing people to build with wood, killing the trees and the Sticks. They were allowing deforestation, to allow for more heretics to take the place of beautiful tree. Things had to change. And they would. And they wood.

Groot walks at the building and grows his vines into the structure, bits of the walls beginning to fall away.

"I AM GROOT."

George followed the others into the room, gnashing his teeth angrily. He didn't much like paper.

Or other beavers, for that matter.

George ran through the shelves of books, gleefully biting through the wooden (uh!) shelves, drilling through the wood like, well, a drill.

Night ran to the Liebrarian's defense. He found the room the Stickquisitors were in quickly, and using the Dustbringer resonance of Abrasion and Division to burn, attacked the Stickquisitors.

Y'all can choose which one of you i'm attacking, or just all of you attack me in general. I don't care. I have fire. Come at me.

The Stickquistor grinned as the man attempted to burn them. They had cured themselves of this long ago. He pulled a long Stick from the quiver at his back and threw it with deadly precision directly at the infidel’s head.

Night's Aviar, Hateka, had shown him a dead body with an arrow through his head, so Night knew to jump out of the way as soon as the Stickquisitor pulled a bow out. He spun around behind a half-destroyed bookshelf, using Abrasion to slide behind the Stickquisitor. He lashed out to grab him and char him with Division, summoning his spren, Sain, in his other hand as a knife, which he thrust towards the Stickquisitor's chest.

George ran under the shardblade, his little body was good for that, and beavertackled the attacker.

George didn't like beavers, or people who were like beavers and ate sticks.

However, bones were not sticks, so unless Night responded, George would start eating through Night's bones.

Ark walked up and put his shardstick up to Night's throat.

"Why are you defending the sacrilegious people? They DESERVE TO DIE!"

Many Lifeless snakes began to slither forth, piling themselves up until they were six feet tall. The pile began to glow, and Rick stepped out "Well, I never could bear missing a fight. Plus, you stick dudes creep me out" he raised his arms and snakes began to coil around him, biting him in specific places. The snakes' fangs were, in fact, hemelurgic spikes, so their biting Rick gave him all sorts of powers. One snake slithered to Rick's hand and spat out a metal vial. Rick proceeded to drown the vial. He smiled. The day was getting even better.

"I may be a Dustbringer and Ghostblood, but I'm sworn to the Liebrarians," Night said, gritting his teeth. He jumped back from Ark and switched to a Shardaxe that he favored. Night pushed the Beaver off while easily grabbing its tail and draining Stormlight for a Surge of Division.

George turned. george didn't like snakes. Snakes climbed and hid in trees. Snakes used trees as simple homes.

Beavers used trees for homes too. George didn't like beavers.

George didn't like snakes.

Without fearing consequences, as is the custom among beavers, George barrelled towards the man who had the snakes. Then, George stopped before the tackle.

Snakes used trees as homes. Snakes used this man as homes, too.

Was this man a tree?

George knew of some people who were trees. There was one tree person on George's team.

Well, that settled it. This newcomer was a friend, not a foe. George sat back on his haunches and let his tongue roll out like a dog.

Ark looked at George. He looked at the snakeman. He shrugged and walked away, society through walls on the way.

Night ducked under the chunk of wall, sliding across the ground on his chest with Abrasion. He was extremely confused, but he continued flying around the room, swinging his axe at the moving tree and hitting everyone he could with Surges of Division.

Rick cocked his head. What was that beaver doing? He shrugged and turned to the Stickquistor. "Well? I'm waiting." Rick slowly began to rise off the ground, snakes gathering even closer below him. He grinned, a nasty grin, for it stemmed from a love of war. He held out his hands and two massive Lifeless snakes appeared as if summoned from beyond.

@Kidpen wanna help us defend your base? No pressure if you're busy I totally get that

I can't react until someone attacks me or I'd do something, I should probably focus on someone specific

"Snake man, attack Ark! I'll take tree-man and [Snipexe's Stickquisitor]." Night readied himself for attacks.

I had not noticed this. Just so you know, pings don't go through in quotes. Are you guys attacking the Liebrarian shack or just some random Liebrary or an embassy or something? Cause if it's the shack, don't expect to come out of this alive.

George was sad. The snake man who was a tree wasn't going to pet him.

George was aware of an annoying noise behind him. George turned, to see the person George had tackled at first.

Or was it a different person...?

Oh well. this person wasn't a tree.

George the beaver dive-tackled the yelling nottreeman, preparing to eat through his rib cage.

We are attacking the rebuilt one in the Alleycity.

Ark burned. And he loved it. Ark new that this man was an idiot. It was the life cycle of a tree to burn. He evolved, fitting the fire, becoming the fire. Ark burned. Others. Ark unleashed waves of fire at Night and Rick, waves of fire coming from a creature made of hot coals and fire. Ark was a demon in his element. Ark was fire. Ark would help the trees.

Rick shrugged. "Ok," Then he noticed the wall of fire. Rick Pushed himself up just a little, then a little more, into an arc over the flames. Smashing back into the ground, his snakes flooded around the fire and gathered about him once more. Water, he needed water. But where would he find water in a library?  Rick pulled out a dowsing rod. Wait, where had he gotten that? He then noticed that the rod was in fact, three snakes that looked like a dowsing rod. Rick held the dowsing rod for about five seconds before it flew off. Rick followed, his snakes slithering after.

Night growled. Dustbringer resonances gave him some resistance to fire, but not enough to keep him from being burned. He jumped backward and lashed out with his Shardblade.
