I'd like to submit on Monday. I'm toiling away here editing v2.0 of TMM and writing v0.1 of TCC in parallel. I need a break from SF!! So, I'm writing a fantasy short story this weekend

@Silk Is it ok if my chapter is 5,200 words long or should I try to shave it down a little?

In case Silk doesn't come back on before tomorrow, you're fine at that level. At +10%, I wouldn't bother asking. If you're over 5,500 every week, people might start to notice. We've had 6,000+ if it's the last episode or a single short story, but not very often. I would ask the question if you ever plan to go that high.

The summer has officially begun! (I know, everyone else started ages ago, but what matters is that its writing time and boy have I missed this ) Any chance I can grab a spot in next Monday's submissions?

I wish I could, since I have some new stuff, but I've got copyedits for ASD I have to go through and I maybe just committed to doing a new nonfiction book. You'd think I'd have learned more about time management by now.

Question: I was glancing at my bookshelf, and noticed that my copy of AFD just says "A-----m" on the spine; no mention of First D**. So, what will be on the spine of my copy of ASD, I wonder?

Sorry my submission is tardy - look on the bright side, it's only 1,500 words!! I'm still hoping to get there, but time this week is just evaporating.
