I broke page 900 of my book two days ago.  I had no idea what I was doing for the first 300 pages.  It's passive, chunky and full of excessive filtering. 

I will write the first 1/3 over.  What I would like to do is to submite a single scene without a bunch of backstory just to see how it reads.  Could the week following the 26th?

Well, if there's a slot going, I wouldn't mind submitting a couple more Quirk-based exercises from WE Season 10 - if there's a slot for tomorrow.

Thank goodness!  I was getting worried that I would have to submit by myself.  

@Robinski and @Ernei, I actually had a similar experience.  I was in the middle of editing my chapter 1 when Robisnki posted his feedback, and I was like, "Oh, I see now - it's time for something completely different!"  In my case this meant starting in a different place, since I'm too attached to my tropey story to drop it at this point (but I'm planning on a break to try something else during NaNoWriMo!).  You'll see the results tomorrow!

So..., since it's 1057 hrs GMT on Monday 26th September, I think I will stick my neck out, if I may, and give my trombone a toot (is that what you do to trombones? I only play second trombone, so I don't know all the lingo so well...)

Sorry everyone! I was out at events all last weekend and failed to realize exactly how little time I would be spending in front of my computer. Thanks for taking on the difficult work of counting to five, as always.

Ahaha, my work schedule's been a pain for me to both do things and write things on, and this chapter's been a pain in general; part of the solution just ended up being 'well i don't think it needs to be as long as the others'

Between 4 and 5k is a perfectly reasonable target for chapter length! Just, this one did what it needed to in two, lol.
