I've seen them, but to say I've played with them... well, I'm not exactly the type that frolicks about.

No, no snow here. It does rain a lot during certain months though.

Which, of course, is why we live in Australia XD.

I hear everyone there walks upside down. So how do the drop bears... drop on you?

We don't walk upside down. It's all a matter of *ahem* perception. Or perhaps we're always just falling downwards differently than you do?

You know what. I think it's the other way around. Drop-bears are known to only attack American tourists. It MUST be because you're falling the wrong way, so they just fall onto you. And they're so disorientated that they viciously attack poor unsuspecting American tourists in their confusion. If you'd just stop messing with Stormlight and walk straight, you'd be fine.

(Apologies to Elsa - that was all based on Way of Kings series).

But I'm not American, I live somewhere closer to Australia than the US is ;)

So you're saying drop bears are actually innocent? Well I never, the audacity to paint such beasts in a sympathetic light!

I only really like the rain when I'm not really in it, just puddles after it stops and just the sound of rain.

Sun is awesome only when it's not super super super hot

5 pages! This is amazing!

I'm familiar with snow. And rain. Both are pretty common here.

Oh well. The cold never bothered me anyway.

It means that the thread is rather popular at present.

...Although I suppose you could just take it another way and be flattered by the compliment.

Are you walking sideways and confusing the drop bears in that way then? Innocent till proven guilty!

Also, my heartfelt apologies for assuming you're American.  I hope you can find it within yourself to forgive me.

I think it means there's over 50 posts or something like that. Basically a *this is popular* tag.

Well... yes. But I don't fall onto them!

And I have not forgotten, nor have I forgiven. Did anyone get the reference? No? No? Okay :(

Well, I consider it a compliment, although people tend to say England more than America (which is funny since I use American English). I'm actually an Asian lurking somewhere in Southeast Asia.

Hahahaha. That is an Delightful comment :D

I wish it snowed here!!

I've never actully seen snow despite my screen name being Elsa but I've played with fake snow which was awesome :)

wow you guys need to get out more. I always find it weird when people haven't seen snow in real life. I live in Utah so I get a lot of snow. especially these last couple winters. i find it funny that California cancels school for an inch of snow. we don't cancel till there is over a foot. the last time school was canceled was for 18 inches of snow overnight.

Idahoan here (although I currently live in Utah as well). Totally agree. I mean, this last winter dumped almost two feet in less than a week (which isn't extreme by any means, but it's more than I've seen for a few years...but then. This was my first winter down here in Utah, so...yeah.)

Im still in high school so one day I woke up and looked at my alarm and jumped school started 10 minutes before and no one woke me up. I went upstairs and wondered where everyone was. luckily my mom came down and told me that school was canceled because of the snow. that was the only snow day I have ever had. it had snowed 18 inches overnight it was awesome.

I live in Houston where it only snows maybe once every four years at best. There are two reasons places like that get off of school when it snows even just a little. First, since it is a rare occurrence, we don't have the road services setup to keep things safe for people who would have to travel on roads to take their kids to and from school. Secondly, we don't get snow much so it's kind of like a holiday when it comes. Gotta let the kids enjoy it when its here.

By the way, I agree with Matrim, you definitely need to take a vacation to a winter location if you haven't experienced snow. I go skiing every christmas and its one of the best weeks of the year. I most definitely don't want to live in a place that snows all winter but its great for a visit.

I wont pretend to understand what it would be like to never have snow as I have lived in northern Utah my entire life or even pretend to like snow to be completely honest snow sucks. I have to shovel all winter long and its so cold. Utah has great snow for skiing and snowboarding etc. but I don't snowboard, ski or anything else to do with snow. I like it warm. snow all winter is horrible. once in a while it is fun but most of the time I hate it.

Oh wow :o snow always seems awesome except when I hear that you can basically get stuck inside because of it. Do the streets get covered in snow? I've always wanted to build a snowman in real life, not just with paper...

yeah the snow covers the streets but once in a while the snowplows comes through and clears off the roads. my sisters love the snow I really think that it is just not worth the cold. once in a while I can enjoy it but not often.
