Shardmancer
So after reading many of Sanderson books there are obivous class differences: SO whose the best whose the worst?? Some suggestions: Worst :SKA>Bridgeman<Drab>Lifeless>Shoad>Kandra (back when they were only beaten and used in contacts) Best:: Mistborn>Highprince > Elantrian>Shardbearer >Returned>Nobleman..Etc
bartbug
I think it would go Returned, Highprince, Elantrian, Shardbearer, Mistborn. Then from least worst to worst worst, Kandra, Drab, Bridgeman, Drab, Ska, Shaod, Lifeless.
Shardmancer
You rather be a Returned that gets has to rely on breaths every week and has no freedom than a full Mistborn/Shardbear with immunity and power??
Swimmingly
I'd put Shardbearer over Returned in terms of freedom and actual power.
Kobold King
What about a bridgeman who's forced to sell his Breath and then finds out his father was a Scadrian nobleman and then goes on the run from Steel Inquisitors, who catch up with him just as the Shaod takes him so they beat him senseless with pewter, leaving him as a Hoed who constantly mumbles "no more bridge runs"? As for the best life, probably Hoid.
Shardmancer
HAHA thats great... maybe by mistborn 3rd we will get to see that... everyones all excited for crossover powers like shardmancers and retutrians.. but what about the skaod/ bridrabs.. thats what im pumped for!
bartbug
I'd much rather be Mistborn, but in terms of social structure, Returned is pretty obviously higher. I mean, god vs assassin.
Kobold King
I'd much rather be Mistborn, but in terms of social structure, Returned is pretty obviously higher. I mean, god vs assassin. TFE spoilers Look at Shan. Yeah, gods get a lot of worship, but most Mistborn get treated like royalty simply by virtue of their power. Any noble house fortunate enough to spawn a Mistborn treats him or her with absolute respect. No one wants an uber-powerful assassin working for the other side. Shardmancer
If you are Returned remmeber you have to listen to people everyday ask for you to kill yourself for them.. you have constant duties and schedules and are part of a inept and manipulative government... Mistborn is badass free to do whatever...But I;d probably go with Shardbearer (not too many responsibilites but still has thier own land/title)
Pathfinder
Elantians were viewed as gods before everything fell apart, I would argue they are ahead of all of them. They have all the abilities of the returned (immortal, peak physical condition that never runs out, etc), They have powers that theoretically could rival mistborn (considering they can heal themselves, blast enemies, teleport, and who knows what else), and if we are referring to shardbearers and not knight radiants, then again I think Elantians win out. If we are talking SURGEBINDERS then that is a different story
Kelvin
The worst would have to be half formed elantrians. Come on. Bride men don't have wounds that never heal. Bridge men know their suffering is temporary
Pathfinder
LOL that is kind of ironic. That potentially the best AND the worst to be are the same exact being, just in different time frames. upvote away!
Stalagmite
I would much rather be a drab than a bridgeman. Drabs are people, bridgemen are human shields.
Swimmingly
A half-elantrian with a ton of painrials would be nice. Though, come to think of it, they might not work. I wonder if half-elantrians are invisible to Allomantic bronze? What about manipulation by brass and such?
Shardmancer
No one has mention an inquisitor yet.. Dont you remmeber how beautiful Marsh thought everything was- All that destruction was euphoria- put him in Roshar he will have a ball.!
Swimmingly
For Ruin, the Everstorm is like porn: you like to watch, but it's nothing like making a planet but dust in the black, untapped void yourself.

Great, now I'm going to feel mildly revolted when I reread WoA and HoA. Happy now?
Satsuoni
Great, now I'm going to feel mildly revolted when I reread WoA and HoA. Happy now? Yes. Yes I, for one, am Maybe we should make a thread for the most disturbing comparisons/scenarios... Being the Shard is best Probably... Not sure about the worst, so many possibilities.... Pathfinder
LOL so I just realized you all meant shardbearer as in preservation, ruin, etc. I thought shardbearer as in armor and sword from stormlight archive. in that case i would have to say it would depend on the shard. yeah being preservation means a ton of power, but at the same time you are very limited by what you can do with it. red032
Since it´s quite frequent misspell Shardbear for Shardbearer, here´s a shardbear for your enjoyment!
