I just started reading Brandon's works this year. I've read Elantris and Warbreaker and am currently half way through Mistborn. I have the rest of the Mistborn "trilogy" and the Way of Kings on the shelf, and I hope to get them all read this yar (and perhaps Alloy of Law too).

Out in the real world I'm a twenty-something married man and father to an infant. I do some rather boring work in an interesting place.

Hey there Nathan, I hope you enjoy the rest of Mistborn :D

Hey there, and welcome! It's always great to see new fans coming to join the community. I'm Kerry, one of the 17th Shard admins, and I have my fingers in almost everything around here. I hope you enjoy the rest of Mistborn - it will blow your mind, believe me - and I look forward to seeing you join in our awesome discussions! :D You might want to stay away from the General Theories section until you've finished Hero of Ages, though; you'll have the whole thing blown for you otherwise. But there's plenty of non-spoilery stuff to join in, so have a look around! :D

Actually you'll want to finish WoK as well before going into the general theories board, but when you do finish everything, I'm sure your mind will be blown.

Anyway welcome, always nice to see a new fan brainwashed er, I mean recruited.

I've decided to avoid all the book forums until I do rereads as it is pretty easy for me to forget things. I'd rather have all of the books fresh in my mind. Definitely avoiding the Theories forums until then as well!

Yeah and there may or may not be an incredible back story of cosmic proportions that tie all the books together so... yeah stay away from general theories for now.

Welcome to 17th shard! Hope you enjoy your stay and all that! :)

So.....no one seems to have mentioned this yet, but:

I do some rather boring work in an interesting place.

What, pray tell, is this boring work, and more importantly, what is this place, and why is it so interesting, if you don't mind my asking? cool.gif
