"I'm pretty sure there's about ten planets we can visit," Tena said, "though I've only ever been to four of them. I don't wander much." What he said about the knife worried her even more. He had been a person too evil to live only a little while ago, and what if he remembered that and tried to kill himself? Her expression lapsed into worry for a moment, then back to serenity when she realized she'd lost control. "Anything else, Ani?"

"I'm pretty sure there's about ten planets we can visit." He badly wanted to interrupt, but knew that would be rude. Ten... how many was I in before? "Though I've only ever been to four of them. I don't wander much." He started to look at her confused, before stopping himself. Why would anyone not visit an entire planet if they could? How could they know how to trust people from those planets, and whether or not they need to be killed, if they haven't visited them? Then a look of fear crossed his face. Whether or not they need to be killed? Where the hell did that come from? He made his face still again. Yes, maybe I was a specialized police. I needed to protect my home. That's it. Her face got a bit of worry, though it was gone fast. Why was she worried? He carefully observed her, everything he could see, to try and figure out any reason worry would be there. Is she hurt? As he searched everything about her, his opinion of her beauty grew. Yes, she is a flower in full bloom. Beautiful. "Anything else, Ani?" He tried to stop his eyes watching her, but he couldn't. So beautiful... Before he could stop himself, he blurted out, "You're look great." The blush returned again. Rust and ruin. Wait, what does that mean? A curse from whatever planet I'm from?

Tena smiled at Ani's compliment. She looked great? I don't know about that... I'm probably too muscly and scarred to look anything other than intimidating. If even that. But the way he was looking at her... maybe he really did think it was true. I might have pretty eyes. Or maybe he likes women with sharp cheekbones. Most men preferred women with round faces, all soft, and her old boyfriend had always been honest with her, telling her that her face wasn't exactly perfect, but that she was pretty in a proud, manly sort of way. Being told that she was just beautiful, though, that was great. He didn't like any specific things about her face, just thought she looked great. 

A nearby Koloss yelled at her and Ani, so Tena raised a calm hand to it. "I'm sorry, we're having dinner. Some other time, maybe. Not right now, though." She turned back to Ani, with his infused-amethyst eyes and asked, "Do you want to know anything about me? I'll tell you, whatever it is."

He looked at her face, a searching look. He broke of for a second to turn down the Koloss's offer. If I fought crime before, I can't steal a ship. Besides, I can't leave Tena. If Tena went, I'd go. She's all I have now. Then he looked back at her face, still searching. What to ask? He thought. What planet is she from? Yes, I'll ask that, but I want another first. Something that seems more, uh, smart. I want to seem smart. He searched, looking at her. Haircut? No, why the hell would I ask about her hair... I'd seem like an idiot... He shook his head a bit, then cocked it to the side, watching Tena again. She looked amazing. He mumbled, not realizing, "Beautiful." He shook his head. I need a good, insightful question... Then it came to him. Anthony smiled. "Do you have any family?"

Tena burst out laughing, nearly making her chair fall over backwards. She continued for a moment, then stopped, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. "Yah, yah. I really do. My mother and father are both dead, never really cared for either... my younger brother inherited the family business, I think, which is sailing merchant ships to Natanatan. I've never been married," she looked at him with a sly grin as she said that one, "so there is that. I've given birth to-- oh, nevermind that. Don't wanna think about it. I adopted a son, his name is Silas, and I think he's about twenty-five. I have a crazy cousin with a grudge against me, and a grandfather older than Harmony himself with loads of Investitures. That's pretty much it, really. I am related to the Ventures, I guess. Anything else you wanna know?"

He considered the answer, musing. "Silas. I must meet him." Then he thought of the question. What else to ask? I could ask her planet, or I could ask who the stormign hell the Venture's are. Then he stopped. Storming, what does storming mean, and what planet? He was tempted to ask, but he wanted something better, smarter. I should just ask her planet, I need to know. He smiled slightly. Yes, that works. Then he said the totally wrong thing. "What planet are the curses storming and rust and ruin from?" Bloody hell...

"Well, storming is from my home planet, Roshar," Tena explained. "I don't use it because I really don't like thinking about most of time there. Rust and Ruin is one from Scadrial, invoking Ruin, one of the Shards that combined into Harmony. The other was Preservation." She waved her hand for him to continue talking, then spoke in a slightly teasing voice, absently twining the fingers of her left hand with his, "Are you going to ask me any more questions about me, or should I call in a Cosmere scholar to answer you?"

He grinned a bit as she made fun of him. He squeezed her hand lightly, loving the feel. She was amazing, and he was lucky. He grabbed moreturkey with his other hand, eating it as he thought of what he wanted to ask. She answered my other question, by accident, so what else can I ask? He considered, eating. He turned to a waiter. "HEY, WAITER? GOT ANYTHING SPICIER?" As the waiter scurried to cover the remaining turkeys with spice. He ate the rest of the remaining turkey, then looked at Tena. "Tell me about Silas, and how you raised him." Hell, that sounded smart. Yeah!

The waiter nodded, then told the chef to prepare some Carolina Reaper-flavored chicken. He brought it out to the table a moment later, setting it in front of the man.

"Well, Silas is... really... well, he's a gorram sight way too much like me. I let him wander, do what he likes in the Alleycity the majority of the time, and most of the raising him groundwork was already done, so I just had to help him through being a teenager and the like. He was an easy kid to raise; very calm most of the time. I think he started taking down the criminal element in the City at a fairly young age... Well, anyway, I mostly just had to help him get over his insecurities. Not really that hard, and I winged it most of the time. He ended up sort of alright. Good enough, anyway."

Ani (Just once, never again. You're welcome.) smiled. "Well, if he's like you, he must be an excellent person. Yes, I really must meet him..." He dug into his chicken absentmindedly, barely noticing the huge amounts of spice. His eyes didn't even water. He smiled, stretching slightly. "I want to meet more people, I've barely seen anyone since... well, really, since I was 'born'." He smiled, standing up, then walked up to the other couple (@Blessing of Potency@Darth Woodrack). "Hello, what are your names?"

I'm texting Woodrack now. I want him to interact with others. Also Tena is only one person, though he interacted with her plenty. He's met Dwig and Tena, and Toa or Tao or whatever it was, but only a glimpse. Everyone else was corpses :P

"Last chance, I'm offering a free ride to Elendel, albeit on a pirated ship. No takers? Well if you change your mind, I'll be down at the harbor for a few hours." he spun and walked out of the resturant, quarterstaff over his shoulder

"Melody..." He smiled reminacingly, thinking. My wife liked music...  I think melody is music. And... we considered naming Ambrosia Melody, I think. He shook his head, looking back at her. Brown hair, blue eyes, though that was unimportant...  a little over five feet, she didn't look to strong, he bet he could take her fairly easily. Except... some part of him was wary, feeling like something about her was more than he could see. He didn't know what it could be. Maybe she was a trained fighter? He considered, then looked to the other man. "And you?"
