Taln reminds me of Spook

As the title says, Taln reminds me of spook. The part in his first interlude he says

 

"They were on fire. The walls were on fire. The floor was on fire. Burning and the inside of a cannot where to be and then at all. Where? A trip. Water? Wheels? Fire. Yes, fire."

 

Inside of a cannot where to be and then at all really sounds alot like High Imperial to me and he was in a burning building where he had to open up locks(wheels) to get water. Actually he's been in a few burning buildings. Being a Mistborn would be handy to the Herald of War and may explain how he saw the dart coming and caught it Dont know if there is enough meat to this to really call it a theory just that that line caught my ear.

That...Would be interesting. We are pretty sure that Taln isn't who he says, but I don't know if the physical description matches. Why would Spook be in damnation in the first place?

I don't find it plausible (I think Spook is dead at this point, timewise?). It's definitely interesting and it would be awesome if it were true. . I love Spook. If my signature didn't give that away.....

 

So in the Ishikk interlude, I'm fairly certain Demoux was described as having Makabaki skin...much like Taln. So if it's a Scadrial colouring that could work.

 

(I totally dont think this is real. I'm just trying to support the theory because it would be so weird and so awesome).

@khyrrindor- I was reading it as if that wasn't memories from damnation but from his part in mistborn with his escapades in the burning houses/ building in book 3 of mistborn.

@delightful- I'm just pointing out what came to my mind and the similarity I see. It would be cool though.

@Delightful - Actually Ishiik describes Demoux as having light tan skin "like an Alethi" (but he doesn't actually think he *is* Alethi because his eyes are the wrong shape).  It is Galladon and Blunt that he describes as Makabaki.

 

As for the OP Spook is definitely not Talenel'Elin, Herald of War.  That Taln has been trapped in Damnation for the past 4,500 years, Spook was only born about 360 years ago.  Could he be the theorized imposter Taln? Maybe, but I don't find it particularly likely.

@WeiryWriter yeah, I thought Demoux = Temoo and only realised after posting that he's actually Thinker.

Oh come on Weiry. Don't you realize everybody's a Worldhopper these days, if they have something that could so much as suggest they are.

But Weiry's right. There is no way Taln is Spook. Doesn't mean he's not a Worldhoppper, though.

I'm not saying he's spook, I know that's way out there, just pointing out how much that sentence reminds me of spook's slang in mistborn. That part is similar. 

 

@delightful  I don't think ill step into that pool.
