Snipexe he/him Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 You must find the most important Stick a man can find -The Way of Stick A man crawled through Horneater Peaks with one goal in mind. The column of smoke in the distance was coming closer as he made his way through the snow. He didn’t feel cold anymore. He didn’t feel anything anymore. Except pain. His journey began long ago, not years or decades, but centuries. He’d traveled miles and miles, bearing his message, and as he crawled up the final slope his energy waned. As he rounded the hill, his hands trembled and then gave out. Thump Thump Thump. The body rolled down onto the doorstep of an inn. The waystop. In its back was a long stick bearing a message of despair to all of the Alleyverse. “The Stick condemns all who oppose it. Bow before it or burn in the fire that shall follow.” 2
I Am Witless she/her Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Yzabet, who decided to play a part in the world for only a moment, checked the pulse of the man and then pulled out the stick. "Pallas, go get your emergency backpack." She looked out into the snow, then back at the Waystop. Home of fifteen years. Peace. "Why?" "We're leaving. Waystop has been a place of safety for years, but not any more for you and I." After a quick raiding of the larders, and without alerting anyone or letting them know of their intentions, Yzabet and Pallas disappeared the perpendicularity. Who knows where they will be seen next, or if they will at all? The snow is covering their footsteps, and so their last trace bids you farewell. 1
Life&Death Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 (edited) Quote I don’t remember where Mr Amber is at the moment, but wherever he is, he left and returned here. The now familiar black car pulled up to the Waystop. Mr Amber got out furiously and stalked towards the entrance of the Waystop. A letter was gripped in his fist. Blackmail! This will not be acceptable! He thought. @Nohadon A second note was in Mr Amber’s suit pocket. It didn’t enrage him at all, but instead excited him. Opportunities were arising. He had sent a servant with a message to the sender, hopefully the message was received. @Sorana Edited October 31, 2018 by Life&Death
+Sorana she/her Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Althea arrived at the Waystop and carefully took a look around at first. This place had been dangerous during the last few weeks. When she entered she looked around, and then waited for someone to welcome her. @Life&Death
Life&Death Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) Mr Amber stormed into the Waystop. There was only one person of note inside since Mr Amber had an ability to tell NPCs from Sponsored players. He walked over to the woman sitting alone at a table. ”Hello, I am the co-owner and current manager of this place. How can I help you?” @Sorana Edited November 2, 2018 by Life&Death
+Sorana she/her Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Althea stood up, took of her glasses and inclined her head in a polite greeting. "My name is Althea. I am here because I received your note. How may I be of assistance?" @Life&Death Edited November 3, 2018 by Sorana
Life&Death Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 “So you are the Elsecaller who responded to my request? Perfect. I have a few questions for you. How experienced are you?” @Sorana
+Sorana she/her Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Althea kept her expression neutral. He didn't know her, it was alright that he wanted to know what she could do. And she owned him. Hopefully she was able to do what he needed. "I count myself as experienced. I've been soulcasting for over ten years and I spend as much time in Shadesmar as possible. What is it that you need to get done?" ===================== Althea waited for Mr Amber to respond for a while, when she suddenly had a feeling, that she needed to go. Something changed. Something was happening. "I'm sorry." she told him. "There is a place, where I need to go." @Life&Death Edited November 8, 2018 by Sorana

Who knows where they will be seen next, or if they will at all? The snow is covering their footsteps, and so their last trace bids you farewell. SOMETIME LATER Rhazien trudged up the path. It was quiet. Too quiet. Something was wrong. He picked up his pace. The homestead came into view and the sight stopped Rhazien in his tracks. Broken windows. Burned wood. The front door was broken off its hinges. A table was leaned to block entrance. Someone appeared next to him. Solace. He was only an apparition. He had lost most of his powers. He could still heal, and enhance his physical abilities though he could only do that through the Link. He could sense through the link as well as communicate through it. Rhazien himself wasn't a perfected clone. The body was a clone. Solace had only been able to grab a portion of his memory before he fade into the abyss called the Beyond. Though through research Solace had been able to bring him back through some connect to his memory and mind. "Solace please enhance my strength." Rhazien asked. "In doing so I will need to stop healing you. That very may kill you." Solace replied. "I need to know what happened to my family." "Very well." Strength surged through his body. He burst through the table. He tasted blood in his mouth. He spat it out onto the floor. Inside the waystop astonished Rhazien, everything was over turned and missed placed. Someone or multiple people had been searching for something. Whether they had found it was a mystery to Rhazien. "I will take the upper floor." Rhazien said as he walked to the staircase and ascended. He searched the rooms upstairs but found nothing until he searched two particular rooms. As he entered one of the rooms he stepped on something that broke under his foot. He stooped and picked up a broken picture frame with the photo still inside. It was of Yzabet and a younger teenager. Yzabet was smiling with her hand on the boys shoulder. The boy was beaming giving the photographer a thumbs up. The photo brought a few tears to his face. He had a son. There was another smaller photo of him and Yzabet on their wedding day. He carefully pulled the photos from the broken frame and put them in his cloak. Looking around Rhazien assumed this bedroom was his son's. The last room he assumed was Yzabet's. A through search brought up a drawer with a false back with a box inside. The box in question was locked with a digit passcode. It opened once he put in his wedding date. What was inside made Rhazien realize that the contents of the box was what the person or people were looking for. At that moment he heard sounds from below. He pulled a handgun from his cloak. Solace appeared again. "I brought help. Please don't shoot them, they are friends. The three of you can be a fireteam or whatever you called it back in your Ghostblood days." @Sorana @I think I am here. Edited January 7, 2019 by Lord Meeker

+Sorana she/her Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 They left Shadesmar and stood in front of a place, Althea had read about in her reports about her sister. The place showed massive sign of distruction and seemed to be abandoned. She walked up to the door and carefully stepped through. Somewhere close. "Solace!" This place looked like a ruin. Maybe he was looking for something? Max could only guess. “Any idea why he would be here?” He whispered to Althea, creeping through a room.

"I have no idea." Althea whispered back and checked her spheres. Too many were dull already. "I don't have a ton of stormlight with me." She informed him and then looked around the room. "My sister got abducted here at the Waystop. That's when I started to have her covered daily, after they were able to locate her again."

Max tried his best to be systematic, going through rooms one at a time. Althea’s statement about stormlight made Max check his own Investiture. He had a substantial amount of Rioting left, after saving all of that up after Oasis. “Do you think he’s alone?” he asked, looking up. There was a second story. They’d have to check that next. @Lord Meeker
Lord Meeker he/him Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Rhazien pulled a pair of knives from his belt. Sneaking around he positioned himself behind some broken furniture. "Identity yourselves." He called as he readied himself to kick a table at them.

But not Solace’s. Softly Rioting trust, he extended his arms in a non-threatening posture, sticking a thumb to himself. “Max,” he said. He nodded towards Althea, not taking his eyes off the man. “And that’s my wife, Althea. We mean no harm, unless you do, of course.”
Lord Meeker he/him Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 "I know fully who you are. I just recently married you two. You can stop rioting me. It is not going to make me trust you any faster." Rhazien said not moving from his spot. "How do I know you aren't after what I have? You could be part of the group that ransacked the place before and set something up to alert you should someone investigate."

Max didn't really like his priests pointing knives at him in the middle of abandoned waystops. "Also, you said you know fully who we are, even though you asked us to identify ourselves about five minutes ago." He let his arms drop. "And you know we don't want what you have because I honestly have no clue about what you have. Unless it's someone by the name of Solace, who we coincidentally are searching for. Heard of him?"
Lord Meeker he/him Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 "Yes him. I have. What is your business with him?" Rhazien said ignoring the rest of what Max said.
