I got to be in Chicago when Tut was there a few weeks back. Very cool.

That's pretty awesome. That would be neat to check out. How is chicago with their science center, or do they even have one? I always love going to those more so than other museum type things. I really like St. Louis' because they always have cool exhibits and symposiums to check out. About a year ago they had their annual science fair, and they had some really good physics symposiums that i sat through.

Thanks. Me too. I wish I had gotten rid of him sooner(I got rid of that idiot over a year ago...)

sounds like an utter waste of carbon atoms to me.

I'd say the whole tut thing was cool, but I can't stand mummies.

Hey, that's about when Sarah (aforementioned fake sister) got rid of hers :P

So what's your major these days?

I don't know of any, but that's mostly a function of me not going there very often.

Their museums, however, are quite good.

Yeah hes was, hopefully his stupidity will eventually kill him if it hasn't already.

Me? Still a tech theatre major, I don't have a concentration yet. I've done everything backstage and I really can't choose one yet. Nice, gotta protect the adopted family!(I have several adopted children, sisters, aunts, mothers, etc.)

Really... Neither of you know about The Museum of Science and Industry? It is pretty cool. They have a lot of exhibits, including a coal mine thingy, a german U boat, and a butt load of other cool stuff. Though I prefer the Field Museum or the Art Institute personally.

I like the Field Museum.

I clicked the link to the Museum of Science and Industry. And ugh, Body Worlds. When that exhibit came to OMSI (a museum in Portland), that was one of the more uncomfortable experiences I've had. See, I'm fine with blood. If something is bloody, I'll say, "Hey, salty!" I really would rather not know how my central nervous system works, or all that other stuff. I like math and physics. Seeing spines and muscles makes me significantly less pleased. It's kind of bizarre, but god, Body Worlds was not fun.

I love the exhibit on Tibet at the field.

I saw body worlds the first time it was here. I was only about 13. It was really gross. I remember, the family friend that had taken us pulling me over and showing me the ascending aortic aneurism, she said to me, "Look that is what nearly killed your mom." It was over all, very creepy. All the kids that went with on the trip ended up sitting out in the lobby waiting for the adults. I can totally agree.

Wow. Yeah, I wouldn't want to know about aneurisms either...

Why not listen to some nice lectures on particle physics? That sounds much more fun :P

Heh, i've been to see Body Worlds before, in fact it was at the st louis science center when i saw it (i think this was 2005 or so). I agree, it is rather creepy at times. I actually enjoyed it, though, because it was different and interesting to see.

I have to ask, was linking that an attempt to get me to write one of my stories?

Knowing chaos, probably :P

Yeah I wish I remembered half the stuff I come up with well enough to document it... (Having a half photographic memory is a pain when you can't figure out how it works...)

I don't have photographic memory (by a long shot), but the program Evernote is great to document notes like that.

Too bad you can't take Memories like Shallan :P

Evernote is pretty awesome. My favorite feature (if you're a premium member) is to share out notebooks with other users, so they have access to it as if it were one of their notebooks. me and my fiancee use it for various note keeping/organizational purposes. Especially since we can take notes on the run with our phones, and come home and flesh out/finish/continue them from a PC.

I usually end up telling myself my ideas aren't THAT good and let it go.

*Puts fingers in ears for the yelling that this will elicit*

I know, I'm working on the whole self degrading thing.

Ideas are cheap. It's the execution that makes them good.

Well said. Since I normally don't have the talent or skill to realize them the way I wish, I let them free. Or pass them on, hoping that somebody else could use them and make them grow into something I couldn't. I wish I could have unlimited life times to work on every idea I have to its full potential, but I don't as far as I know.

Bah, talent has nothing to do with it. Everyone writes crap for a while (hopefully not literally, unless you are Howard Tayler). Anyone can become a writer if they have the will to do it.

And, preferably, if they are not a lazy procrastinator like me. :P

See not all ideas of mine are writing based. For example I was showering(because all great ideas ever came to some one in the shower.) and I was thinking about my memory and how it works. I was thinking that because my parents main way of consequences was negative re-enforcement. So I was wondering if they had used positive re-enforcement would my memory focus on more positive things rather than negative? Then started to devise away to test this whole idea...
