Chrono she/her Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I feel like can go for either Shallan remembering killing her mother, or Kaladin trying to defend Elhokar while having lost Syl. The title also matches their mood perfectly. They feel like they're truly alone in the universe.
AerionBFII he/him Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I always read the prologue of the books with the Harry Potter theme tune in my head because it takes me back to my childhood watching the movies and thinking.... This is going to be awesome!!
Arondell Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 At this rate, we should just make Two Steps From Hell the official orchestra of the Cosmere. Seriously. Two Steps from Hell specializes in dramatic "cinematic" music. Since there are so many dramatic scenes in Mr. Sanderson's books it is kind of a natural fit. You can actually find a lot Two Steps From Hell music in film trailers when a lot of action is portrayed. The song "Freedom Fighters" was used in the first Abrams Star Trek trailer. I think "Black Blade" was used in one of the Mass Effect 3 trailers. Its what they do.
dumpstercake Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I'm not usually one to listen to music while reading. I actually listened to the audiobooks, which made it even less likely for me to think of any particular songs. However, the more I read about the parshendi the more came to mind. 1

Then this must be the voidbringers
Sete Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/16280-let-the-skyfall/#entry174275 Someone else found something awesome and posted it in another post. I also say the jonathan colton cover of still alive for the end scene with szeth. It would be more fun if it was in an official voice of nightblood though.
