The 42nd Kanak Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Can someone with the royal locks use their own hair as color for an awakening? 1
1 Xtafa Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I see no reason why not, they grow hair at will, cut it off and use it.
1 Gasper he/him Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 That may have been their original purpose. You have an endless supply of color of different hues that is powered by food. Pretty convenient if you are a frequent awakener.

You Need only something with Color in it. If It is Red or blue doesn't change anything. Only the amount of Color in it. Indeed Black is the best Color for Awakening, always Edited May 5, 2018 by Yata 1
0 Gasper he/him Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Well, its not the color so much as the growing on command part. The Royals can turn their hair black but it is more important that it can grow. When awakening, just grow out a foot or two of black hair, use it, cut off the now gray or white hair and then grow it back. 1
0 Spaceater he/him Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 i don't think that the hair's color can be used for an awakening, in warbreaker the color used to awaken something is taken from an unliving object or from an entire corpse when creating a lifeless (like the fur of the squirrel used by Vasher), so i think that if somebody uses is own color to fuel an awakening his skin and body hair will eventualy turn grey (if this is possible). Maybe it possible to use the hair if you first cut it off so it became a " organic objects that are far removed from having been alive " not unlike an scarf made out of cotton
0 RShara she/her Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Yeah, with the Royal Locks, you have to cut them off first. With normal hair, you could probably use it to Awaken without cutting it, since really, it's already "dead."
