I've been working on this idea for about half a year, and have begun writing it. I'll post the chapters as I write them. I hope you like it.

Part 1: Broken

Prologue

The soldiers marched to their death. It wasn't certain death, but likely death. For these soldiers, whom were Greavishe, thus tan, black haired, and of medium height, were marching against a force of nature. An Original. Originals were normal people, once upon a time. But then, a force called the Origins empowered 20 regular people, enhancing them physically, mentally, and emotionally. Precisely 100 years from the day said Originals were empowered, they died of old age, per sé. In any case, the Original died, and their closest living relative became an Original. So, there were always 20, because even if the near-immortal warriors were killed, their killer would immediately adopt their powers. Not only that, but Fallstan, a nation with immense military power, supplies, and riches, had hired mist of the Originals. To make matters worse, they were making moves to annex the whole of the continent. Greavind, the homeland of these soldiers, was their next target. The commander of said soldiers suddenly called an order for the army to halt.

"Oj,  garen stui!" He shouted. Him, and most of the leaders of the Greavishe army, spoke Garlayan, as if in defiance of the oppressive Fallstan. Suddenly, a group of Fallst soldiers, including an Original, leapt out of their hiding places. The surprised Greavinds jumped back. The Fallst soldiers spread out, surrounding the Greavinds. The commander roared in fury and charged the Original. It was his last charge. The Fallst soldiers didn't fight, only defend. They let the Original do the job. He raised his sword. It was very long. In wide, sweeping strikes. The Greavinds were all killed in three attacks. You couldn't stop  an Original. It was impossible. Armies fell at their hands. You couldn't fight them. Right?
