Trizee Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 So, there's a Kenton street in Luthadel. Coincidence?

Weltall Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 (edited) Maybe a coincidence, maybe not. Mistborn details beneath the tag since this is a series-specific board Spoiler They've happened before (an obvious example is that there's no relation between Ati the Vessel of Ruin and Ati the Aon) and while we have reason to suspect that Autonomy is interfering in Scadrial during Era 2, that doesn't necessarily mean that she was involved in the planet in any way prior to that point. On the other hand, Brandon recently said that several Shards had visited Scadrial prior to Era 1 (the alternate ending to Well of Ascension hinted at this idea, with one of the unknown Shards being identified as Endowment, but that's obviously not canon now) but he also said that we didn't see any Splinters on the world in Era 1. Whether this means there were none at that point or there were and we simply didn't see them is a bit less clear. Another thing Brandon has said: Quote Jamester86 Kalad and Kalak, Shashara and Shalash...a lot of names on Nalthis and Roshar seem related....pure coincidence? Brandon Sanderson There is a lot of crossover between the planets. But not every connection people make is an intentional one. source So despite having some names that aren't just similar but identical (Kenton and Trell) this one really could go either way. If it is a coincidence though, I'm fully in the camp that the 'Trell' we hear about in Era 2 is Autonomy and she simply picked the preexisting religion that best suited her when it came time to start messing with Scadrial.
