EHyde she/her
(yes, the thread title is a pun) After reading WoR, I decided to take Shallan's new chapter symbol (Pattern) and chart it into a knitting pattern, because I like doing fandom-inspired knitting projects and because a circular symbol with six-sided rotational symmetry is just asking to be put on a hat (and then I'll be a symbolhead!). (this repeats six times, knit in the round, like pieces of a pie -- the point at the top is the center of the symbol) I am in the process of test-knitting this now, I'm hoping to have it finished before I go to Brandon's signing on the 21st.
Peng the Just he/him
Cool! post a pic when you finish it!
Karou she/her
That's awesome! Definitely post a pic. Have you done any other Brandon Sanderson knits? I was thinking of trying to chart the bridge four symbol, but I haven't gotten past thinking about it.
EHyde she/her
I will definitely post a picture when it's done! I have not done any Sanderson knitting before this, though I've seen a few other people do so -- someone made a scarf with the allomantic symbols and someone else did a couple of glyphs from WoK as a cabling pattern, which looked really cool.
shallan88 she/her
It's a beautiful pattern! I hope I'll be able to see the finished product at the signing I think the glyphs/symbols would make great accent pillows too...use a metallic thread in there to add some punch. I'm a sucker for pillows.
EHyde she/her
I still haven't finished mine, but thechronicferuchemist finished her version! I'm doing mine more like a beanie, but she did it as a beret and I think it turned out really cool.

Karou she/her
That's awesome! Thanks for posting! I'm going to have to make an attempt. (Colorwork is not my friend.)
EHyde she/her
Here's my finished hat! I did get it finished in time to wear to the signing, that was a lot of fun (Brandon liked it!). I also made some changes to the chart as I was working, so I'm updating the image in the first post.
Karou she/her
So glad you finished it in time for the signing. The colors you chose are fantastic.
