Levi Sorenson Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 (edited) Syl told Kalidin that she was only as dead as his oaths, so if Adolin creates oaths he should be able to awaken his sword because he bonded it. Many of Bridge Four's members were misfits and criminals. Even Zeth bonded a spren and he killed because of his Honor. (Zeth is kind of insane, but I still like him after he changed) Edited September 8, 2018 by Levi Sorenson 1
cantabile21 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Welcome, Levi Sorenson! You'll have lots of fun here! This thread is a little old and behind, so if you have read Oathbringer, you might be interested in this... Updated Adolin Discussion If you haven't read Oathbringer, please WAIT until you have finished the book and thoroughly digested it before wading into that gigantic discussion! (By the way, i agree with you.)

Adolins killing of Sadias however was clearly cold blooded murder even if Sadias was a git.... This leads me to think that with WOR underlying theme for the first and third oaths Adolin won't be able to bond a Sprin In which case considering his nature could end up being rather interesting development when it comes to his relationships with the other characters especially the radiant ones. THOUGHTS???? It was not in cold blood. He was quite aggravated at the time if I remember.

It was a crime of passion. I suppose it would make his character a bit more interesting to make him Radiant at least to a degree. I have no idea how that would work and am not going to attempt to discuss it. But at least it would give a bit more to his character. Then kill him off in the 6th book or something.
