I think szeth will retain 2 of the 3 lashings, from what I can gather from the surges table at the end of WoR the "skybreakers" have the surges of gravity and destruction. When the herald revives szeth he says "I doubt I have ever found a man more worthy of the skybreakers that you" ergo not only does he have an insanely powerful blade, he can still lash about, barring a full lashing which uses adhesion, and from memory he doesn't use that a whole lot anyway. This is all assuming he gains the nahel bond to allow him such investiture...
