Swimmingly he/him Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 You know, buying a large amount of Breath can't be too difficult for someone like Hoid. Though passive Breath is a pretty sweet package.
PorridgeBrick he/him Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Vasher is Zahel. WoP on this. Also, I'm fairly sure this story happens afterwards, though I'm not up on my timeline-fu.About 300 years after iirc- plenty of time for Zasher to switch planets.
AerionBFII he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Anybody know where I can read the Cosmere related unpublished works?? Feeling left out
Moogle Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Anybody know where I can read the Cosmere related unpublished works?? Feeling left out You can get Liar of Partinel from here, Dragonsteel from BYU's library (Brandon did it as a master's thesis I believe?), and you can email Brandon through the contact form of his website for White Sand. bartbug he/him Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 When you ask for White Sand, you can also ask for Aether of Night.
lookingglass she/her Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 How can we be sure that Vasher is taking in stormlight? He could be eating spren for all we know Or maybe he just uses peoples breath? People on Roshar wouldn't think of anything of the whole "My life to yours, my breath becomes yours" saying.

People on Roshar wouldn't think of anything of the whole "My life to yours, my breath becomes yours" saying. I think Brandon answered a question about it saying the different magic systems wouldn't really work on different worlds, but that the two are both similar (I can't think of the word he used...)
TheKennethHayes Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 the questions that i asked at the signing last night, These are paraphrased because I don't have a perfect memory.Q: Can allomancy affect shardblades?A: it would be very difficult it to affect a shardblade, maybe a duralumin burn could affect one but It would difficultQ: So are shardblades more organic than metal then?A: The blades are a product of the splinters of honor and are essentially a form of investiture, so I short answer yes but they have metallic qualities.Q: If an Elantrian was bonded a seon and traveled to Roshar would that bond act as a Nahel bond?A: The bond would act very similarly granting the bonded certain abilities but not exactly the same as the spren bond.

But this really isn't the place for signing reports, would you mind going to the Events forum and posting in the thread for the signing you went to?
Cheeky-eyes she/her Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 There is also this quote from the start of Zahel's interlude. Someone was near. Zahel awoke, snapping his eyes open, knowing instantly that someone was approaching his room. This seems to be a reference to the life sense everyone on Nalthis has, the one that makes them insanely aware of when people are watching or approaching them. Since he answers the door before Kaladin has a chance to knock it's safe to say he has a high heightening. He also refers to the storms as 'invested' things, so besides the WoP there are plenty of hint in text. As an aside, I love how grumpy he is and the interactions between him and the also grumpy Kaladin are great. And I want him to get Nightblood back, he may have complained a lot about him but he clearly misses him.
