So...what do we think happens if Adolin actually does free/revive Maya the spren? Is that an auto-bond for him, or is she just free to say.....laters Adolin, and he loses his sword? It would seem strange since the spren did not technically choose him the normal way. If this becomes known it seems you would benefit by popping into Shadesmar to see why kind of spren your sword is first and swapping with someone who has one you like, unless all deadeyes look the same.

If he revives her its because they've bonded and were previously compatible. You don't choose your radiant order, you behave as a person that is of an order.

That's why it would seem odd to me....what's the chance that sword Adolin has it from a spren for the Order he would actually belong to? It would also mean that no one currently carrying a dead shardblade could possibly be a Skybreaker.

I think that maya especially would be very hesitant to bond with a human again after literally being dead and would want to get as far away from adolin as possible despite liking him because remembering being dead and used like a sword would probably be quite traumatic

If Maya is revived, it will be because of the bond with Adolin.  Already we've seen her protect him.  Anyone who would swap their sword for a "better" sword doesn't respect their blade enough.

There are multiple orders open to most, it depends on which spren you attract most strongly.  If you can reawaken a blade it will be because you have won the spren's trust. Thus it will be for an order you are compatible with.

Odds are irrelevant. Stories are about drama. (Beyond that even possessing a blade is a spiritual connection. And binding your spirit to something is bound to affect who you are, to change you. Especially as the bond grows.)
