Symmetry in Roshar

So there seems to be this obsession with symmetry in roshar. Reflectional symmetry in the glyphs and names, radial symmetry in the cities as shown by kabsal. The ardents and faithful apparently view this as a sign of divinity but as the reader who is at least somewhat versed in the metaphysics of shards one wonders about the true meaning. A large part of the Magic System seems to be built up on the interaction of various disparate elements (Nahel-bond as the connection of physical and cognitive realm or the resonances between two surges). Are these symmetries "resonances" resulting from the interation of Honor/Cultivation/Odium?  Or possibly a reflection of some other basic system? Any theories? Help!

Maybe Death the Kid influenced how it was created...

On a more serious note I do believe that symmetry might have a hand in how the magic works. If it wasn't symmetrical the spren might not be able to bond with humans or There would be no magical outflow into the world I don't know.

Spoiler

Notice how the magical symbols in Etlantris need to be exact otherwise they wont work.

Maybe it's something like that.

if we look at how Shallan explains symmetry in words in WoR, she says that in words, the letter h can be counted for any other letter, which is why Nohadon is symmetrical. so, the word Honor is also symmetrical. might have something to do with symmetry on Roshar.
