"Well that is rather sensitive information isn't it? Why would you need to know that?"

[Ataraxian Wist she/her]

"Because I have two jobs," Sef answers. "The first is more of a hobby, and that's studying Realmatic Theory. The second helps a lot with the first, and involves keeping a tab on Realmatic traffic to and from Scadrial. So I ask again, is there anyone here who's not native and hasn't been here before?"

"Are you a Worldhopper? Which worlds have you been to? I will answer your questions, but I would like you to answer mine."

[MacThorstenson he/him]

"I'm not sure that you are looking for us, We've all been here for at least a day," Louik starts sweating, I Hate realmatic traffic controllers. He thinks aloud while compounding zinc. "However you found us at this place, it was probably triggered by something, none of us have world hopped here in the last 24 hours. So the trigger would have happened yesterday for us. Most likely the guy that your looking for is the one crumpled in the stairway,"

"A Hemalurgist?" Sef asks the cookie man. He had heard something that sounded like that in the man's muttering.

"What? That guy, no he has no spikes on or in him."

"Hmmm," Sef muses. "Well, you're on my safe list, but Lawbringer's network has you tabbed." He muses for a moment, then blinks. "Are you a Hemalurgist?"

[MacThorstenson he/him]

"Yes I am a hemalurgic baker. More importantly why would you guys have me tabbed? Last I checked I hadn't done anything illegal enough to be noticed by you guys."

[Ataraxian Wist she/her]

Sef bristled visibly. Had that man just called him part of Lawbringer's network?

"I would have you know, Hemalurgist, that I am only loosely affiliated with Lawbringer, and that only because of my concern with homeland security. I find your comment somewhat offensive."

EDIT: "As for Lawbringer, his followers have marked you as 'potentially dangerous' due to your being near several murder scenes at about the right time. He generally doesn't fuss too much over murderers, unless they're in his current zone, which shouldn't be Scadrial for another year."

"Excuse me for not knowing the difference between the Lawbringer's network and a man who just appeared in my face, doing the exact same thing that a member of the lawbringers network would have done. Also, let it be noted that I was not responsible for their deaths, the spikes were all placed in non-lethal spaces."

'Wait... how does that work?" Sef asks. "I'm not an expert on Hemalurgy, but I was under the impression that it didn't work unless the person died of it." He fingers his earring as he says this, a puzzled expression on his face. 

EDIT: He turns to the Roaharen woman. "Forgive my distraction, fair one, but you said you'd answer my questions? Or is that what he was doing?" He asks this last with a gesture toward the Spike-Baker.

If you spike a gold compounder in a non-lethal spot they can compound gold fast enough that they heal themselves.  Also the reason that people die is not because they got spiked in a lethal spot, although most of the time it is, it’s that people have a hard time surviving without pieces of their spirit web.

"Ah," he says, mostly comprehending what the Cookie-Spiker is talking about. He's read about Spirit Webs in some of Khriss' essays. "As I said, I'm not a Hemalurgist. Not even an Arcanist, really, just a Realmatist. Anyway, I'm not here to enforce any arbitrary or natural laws, I just got an alert for Perpendicular activity in this area, but I must have got pulled off course." Or maybe I was Pushed off course.

Edit: my character was a soldier in Dalinar's army who has a spren, is a windrunner in training, and accidentally world hopped to Scadrial. but that was about 2 days ago. basically some unknown worldhopper sent me here. just so you know @Sazedezas

Okay, so Sef thinks the cookie might have been drugged. Do we want to play off that, or something else? (I've already thought if what that could be)

"What information?"

Sef was quite confused now. He should have recognized that mask, and the woman's accent was obviously Southern Scadrien. What was in that cookie?
