Color changing eye drops

Do you guys think there is any chance that the color changing eye drops could come from Nalthis (the Warbreaker planet)? Could vasher have brought it with him?

Not impossible, however it seems not too complicated to come from Roshar itself

Seeing as they only darken eyes, I’d say Roshar’s native flora could be used to produce such a dye without very much work.

That said, I’d be very surprised if the Nalthian culture didn’t have a similar invention. So... While Roshar probably would have developed theirs independently... It’s also possible that some worldhopper (perhaps a Ghostblood, seeing as such dyes are useful to them) migrated the idea over from Nalthis.

The eyedrops are honestly the thing I dislike most in SA. 

How exactly do they darken the irises, but not the whites, or cloud the vision of the person using them?

On a theoretical level, that's doable. Eye color is based on the level of melanin pigment in your irises, and there are ways to stimulate the body to produce more.

However, I have no idea how to translate that into eyedrops, or how to make the process less gradual.

So yea, it'll take some explaining. For research purposes, when are these even used in Stormlight? (I almost forgot they existed)

I don't think we've actually seen them used. Tyn talks about using them.

Isn't that how Moash and Graves hid when they fled the Shattered Plains?  Or am I not remembering it right?
