Yalb
What is the thrill? It seems to me its the opposite of compassion or honor. It encourages mass death and killing. It also seems to take you over and influence some choices. I had a thought last night about Adolin being overcome by the thrill. That then let's odium take over his body and use Adolin as his champion. I just dont see him as a radiant. But maybe as a unwilling pawn to odium drunk on the thrill. Duskshard
I think that Thrill is something happens to everyone who takes up arms to fight, a desire for battle. I think that people of old were trained by the KR to overcome this or master it in some way so that it didn't affect them, and those that weren't trained ran the risk of being destroyed by it. I get this impression from something one of the KR says to Dalinar in "Starfall" "All who can fight are needed" the woman said. "And all who have a desire to fight should be compelled to come to Alethela. Fighting, even this fighting against the Ten Deaths, changes a person. We can teach you so that it will not destroy you. Come to us."
Cayden
To me its a form of corruption, a way to twist an individual into wanting to kill because it makes them feel powerful and is almost overwhelming in many respects, it took Dalinar a great deal of effort to shrug it off, we havent really seen enough viewpoints of it to get a real feel for things. Even if its not corruption per say, and is like an Odium based heightened sense of euphoria whenever whenever you fight to kill, making you crave to keep on doing it. It would explain why the Alethi are quite so focused on war as it sounds almost addictive.

AerionBFII
I think when you commit atrocities such as mass killing in war, it attracts Odium like a beacon and you open yourself up to him. He's like an infection, a taint. The Alethi are proud of and enjoy war so they are more vulnerable to it than the rest of Roshar.
